My local paper reported a story re loss of advertising income forcing them to make some layoffs. So I thought about it in a New York Minute, and sent the note below. You should copy paste it, change or alter it and send to your local propaganda press. Tell them why they are losing and could be doing better. Money and profits are most important. Not what stupid loud minority thinks and says.
James,
Just so you know, Newsday would be a very prosperous paper today if it had not been catering to, or representing, or speaking for, the loud vocal minority, that literally have no common sense. Even if they have college degrees.
Because over the last 45 years, the Newsday rhetoric has annoyed, insulted and offended the docile easy going common sense, silent majority. Call it accumulation of error. You would have had a lot more readers and advertisers today.
I know this for a fact. Because I’m 76 years old, been reading Newsday every day since 1965. On occasion, with a friend, I’ll ask, “Did you see that interesting story in Newsday the other day”? “Oh, no we don’t like Newsday anymore and dropped it”
You have about 10 sections in the paper, but not ONE Silent Majority section. Maybe its time for Newsday to create one, and start insulting the loud vocal obnoxiously stupid minority.
They are not helping Newsday prosper. My wife used to work there. A great employer, I love Newsday for that. But I have a Newsday hat, I like it, ware it doing yard work, but I won’t wear it in public or visiting friends. It would be embarrassing. Maybe you should report this accurate data to the top banana. 🙂
Best regards,
