How Long is the Chinese New Year Holiday 2021? Usually Chinese New Year festival period lasts for 16 days, starting from Chinese New Year’s eve to the Lantern Festival. In 2021, it is from February 11 to February 26th.

So, until then, I sit out this consolidation while expecting some down days still ahead.

Iran To Block Nuclear Inspections Starting Next Week If US Doesn’t Drop Sanctions

European signatories to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal are warning Tehran not to block inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) after Iranian officials issued an ultimatum to Washington threatening to do just that. “It would be completely unacceptable should Iran obstruct IAEA inspections,” a German diplomat was cited as saying in Reuters.

“We urge Iran to refrain from this step, and are in close contact regarding this issue with our partners, including the United States,” the diplomat added. This was in response to Iran announcing on Monday that it’s poised to limit inspections should the United States not lift at least some sanctions by February 21st.

i think we dodged the bullet on this one.  the forecast doesn’t show anything below 34 f in the next ten days.  even if they’re off by a little, we won’t get any serious damage here.

water is never a serious problem.  i keep a 500 gallon tank of rainwater in the greenhouse as a heat sink and emergency water source.

I hope that next winter freeze after this one misses you with things already budding. Pipes are bursting in Texas and if you can even get water you have to boil it. It would reck any crops started early.
A grandma and a few grade school kids who had no power were killed in a home fire in Texas. No one knows if it was a fireplace or candles. But they want to push alternative energy that doesn’t work on winter. Then in summer they’d have to cut down their shade trees for their solar power then need more power.
We missed it in Calif too but we had enough to deal with, with the fires heat and smoke all summer.

Sounds like you like snow as much as me!

Around here the daffodils and crocuses are up but it will be quite some time until the garden is dry enough to work the soil.
