The rest of the song describes my concerns for America .

I grew up in Canada looking across the St. Clair River to Port Huron, MI .

I am now a naturalized citizen (after paying taxes in the USA for over 30 years without voting privileges) and meant it when I took the oath to honor the Constitution and to defend it . Why are our politicians and bureaucrats not charged with perjury when they take their oath of office so lightly ?

Yeah I can’t see it either. The Russians are mostly worried about their own security. They’ve been invaded many times and are paranoid about their borders.

So why so many US troops in Germany and elsewhere in Europe? I imagine the MIC is making big money on their deployment. The Germans love all the flow of funds into Germany and they don’t have to spend much on their military.

AFAIC bring them all home!

Do You Guys Remember Me Saying The Media Was Blaming Small Traders For The GameStop Volatility? And I Said No Its The Hedge Fund Machines?

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 14:28 on February 5, 2021

I noticed those crazy spikes in cheap stocks long ago looking at charts, of which I look at hundreds of them. The Media is a diabolical liar and cause trouble often.

parts:

A look at the 10 most-purchased stocks by retail traders during the market mania last month is missing one key stock: GameStop.

The prevailing narrative was that a band of Reddit-inspired small traders rose up against Wall Street by buying GameStop en masse, forcing a short squeeze by professional hedge fund managers, who were forced to cover their negative bets or risk catastrophic losses.

But several signs are pointing to institutional investors as big drivers of the wild price action on the way up.

“Although retail buying was portrayed as the main driver of the extreme price rally experienced by some stocks, the actual picture may be much more nuanced,” JPMorgan global quantitative and derivatives strategy analyst Peng Cheng told clients in a note.

The rookie investor “vigilantes” grabbed the most attention by being all over social media, posting screenshots of their positions and crucifying Robinhood and other brokers when the firms were forced to limit trading in the high-flying names. The membership of Reddit group WallStreetBets has rocketed to 8.5 million subscribers.

However, it’s possible the noise from this crowd caused most to overlook Wall Street co-opting this trade to make a fast buck as well, data shows.

“Maybe it’s not as much of just the little guy versus the big guy,” said JMP Securities analyst Devin Ryan. “I think that it’s reasonable to say that institutional investors were also very active in those stocks last week because there are institutional investors that participate in names that have elevated volume. I think most likely that was also expressed in some of the options activity last week as well.”

Retail investors were actually net sellers of GameStop from Tuesday through Thursday last week, according to data from Citadel Securities.

“What was going on in the stocks forced the hedge funds to trade to cover, or they might have been playing, too, to win,” said Piper Sandler analyst Richard Repetto. “There always could be the hedge fund that was totally uninvolved, wasn’t short, but saw what was going and said this might be a way that I can profit just by going long.”

New York-based hedge fund Senvest Management reportedly made $700 million off of the GameStop mania. Another proxy for retail trading, Trade Reporting Facility volumes, showed that retail investing decreased significantly after Tuesday of last week. The volumes are basically all the trades that aren’t executed on the exchanges. So, what goes into that TRF is normally the vast majority of all the retail volume.

The Rest:

I do not believe that Russia is going to attack Europe or anybody else for that matter. Why would they do it? They do not need resources , they do not need all the other problems that Europe has. Besides, every one else

would love to rule them. After all it was Europe that  has attacked them few times in the past. Had they lacked resources nobody would be after them. The messages coming from Putin are clear: Do not attack us  because that will be the end of civilization. Russia has superior weapons

at this time.

The rally is impressive for a Friday. The last moving average resistance is at $27.28. Comex is now at $27.08. A close here would possibly be good for a gap up on Monday.

The Bollinger Band resistance is at $28.00.

Media Observation: They Say Raising The Minimum Wage Kills Jobs, So Then, Its Important to Lower The Minimum Wage To Create More Jobs

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 11:24 on February 5, 2021

We seem to have a lot of immigrants coming in, so we really have to create millions of new fake jobs. What the hell? Fake money, fake boobs, fake lips, fake wood plastic picket fences everywhere. But the plastic straws and bags? Sorry, but they have to go.  If the minimum was $3/hr I would open a business immediately and hire 10 people. It would only be $30/hr for the whole crew.

Sarcasm of course.

Feb. 04, 2021 5:55 PM ETVanEck Vectors Steel ETF (SLX)By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor
The U.S. Court of International Trade today upheld former Pres. Trump’s Section 232 national security tariffs on steel (NYSEARCA:SLX) imports, denying a steel importer’s challenge to the duties.

A three judge panel at the court, which hears challenges to trade actions under U.S. laws, found that the Commerce Department and Trump properly applied a Cold War-era trade law in imposing the tariffs.

Comment: I bought some United States Steel tic X because of high volume and it worked, up a little already. There is a lot of green in the steel sector so I’m nibbling in. It could all be part of a major reversal on the past. (imports reversing to domestic)

Pretty much all of them are 10% to 200% up in six months. I don’t Gold and Silver will mind if we cheat on them a little, to make profits to buy PMs, while we wait for the big reset which in reality will be a final upset of the past.

This is another example of things Biden/idiot can’t reverse. Trump he/they put tariffs on imported metals for the good of the country.

The anti American Biden/idiot also can’t reverse all the practical judges he nominated in the Supreme Ct and multiple states. Lets be happy. As the country goes thru the worst and final stage of its long term decline, that Biden/idiot and all the immature kids advising him will get the blame.

Congratulations to them all. They accomplished taking over as the system is approaching a bridge abutment.

Posted by Richard640 @ 10:23 on February 5, 2021

it looks like one of those days when they’re gonna sit on PM stocks…the PM SECTOR HAS ALWAYS BEEN THAT WAY: it goes from hyper-ventilating—like last week—to comatose….with no news—no transition—very schizoid like…and leaves all the bulls scratching their heads

…and Hunter Biden has the run of the White House and a boo deal…no matter that he’s on You Porn…had any of the trump kids gotten just a littering ticket the media would be foaming at the mouth…CARAMBA-!!

American troops in Germany serve our ‘mutual interest,’ Berlin says, after Biden freezes planned withdrawal

US soldiers stationed in Germany are an integral part of Trans-Atlantic friendship, Berlin has said, after President Joe Biden put a halt to the Trump administration’s plan to relocate thousands of troops from the country.
“We have always been convinced that the stationing of American troops here in Germany serves European and Trans-Atlantic security and is, therefore, in our mutual interest,” spokesperson for the German government Steffen Seibert told reporters on Friday.

Seibert praised the decades of Berlin’s military cooperation with the US. “This is part of the Trans-Atlantic friendship,” he said, adding, though, that the deployment of soldiers overseas is Washington’s internal affair.
