Because all the manufacturing of various countries needs was off shored funneled to China et al. Each country should produce their own consumer product needs locally. Avoid and tax imports. Only import strictly what they can’t get or need locally.
Big business has been playing both ends against the middle. “They” are a like a “capitalist country” in and of themselves. They are NOT patriotic, have no allegiance for any country. They are out ONLY for themselves. Like the terminator. The Democrats and republicans have been supporting these businesses for decades. “Free Trade” “Strong Dollar is good” bullshit.
I’m an isolationist patriot and I had to watch this USA lose its independent domestic capitalist system, and many other countries declined for decades. Then they come here. We have a better lifeboat. Not sinking as fast as their countries.
After 50 years in downtrend, hopefully the end isn’t too far off now. Forget about over throwing the Whitehouse, they need to overthrow the Mass Media FIRST, then tax the shit out of any unneeded unimportant consumer imports, to make them way too expensive to buy and ours cheaper than theirs, and get some income to relieve the transition pain with tax income here while we change over.
Who cares if Costco and Lowes have to eat the taxes on imports. They CERTAINLY can’t pass it onto consumers. LOL. So the shares drop who really cares? As Trump said, “What do we have to lose?” Because we already are losing.
