The margins on Comex silver are now 40%. Historically margins are approximately 10%. The premium on phiz is now $6.00 which is over double from a year ago. Somebody definitely does not want silver to go up the least bit.
Palladium is on fire again. Phiz is hard to find at any price. Rhodium is still in the stratosphere.

Looks like Powell is in between a rock and a hard place but they have been for awhile. I don’t think he’ll say the economy is doing better under the circumstances but he could and the market will take it as they will raise interest rates. If they see inflated yields they’ll see future inflation then bonds could sell.
Someone pointed out a channel chart of the Dow which hit the top and next day yesterday Dow was red. I don’t know what will be perceived of the little stimulus checks.
The majority of people except for a few banks that paid people ahead will get their gov checks today to stimulate the economy. Most I know are gonna be paying bills or house fix it things.

McEwen’s Mexico operations suspended due to blockade
McEwen Mining Inc. (NYSE: MUX) (TSX: MUX) reported on Monday that its El Gallo project in Mexico has been temporarily suspended due to an illegal blockade of the main access to the property by members of nearby communities.
According to McEwen, certain individuals involved in the blockade believe that the annual payments and infrastructure improvements made to the local communities should increase significantly.
Poland Wants More Gold: “The ‘Most Reserve’ Of Reserve Currencies”
In 2018, the National Bank of Poland began aggressively adding gold to its reserves. Through the first half of 2019, the Polish central bank added more than 100 tons of gold, nearly doubling its reserves.
So, why did Poland decide to significantly increase its gold hoard? In a nutshell, to shield itself from geopolitical risk. In its statement, the bank said:
Gold is the ‘most reserve’ of reserve assets: it diversifies the geopolitical risk and is a kind of anchor of trust, especially in times of tension and crises.”
Now the Poles want to add another 100 tons to their reserves over the next several years. During an interview Monday, National Bank of Poland Governor Adam Glapiński said the bank currently holds 229 tons of gold, about half purchased during his term in office.
Over the course of a few years, we want to buy at least another 100 tonnes of gold and keep it in Poland as well.”
Glapiński has made increasing gold reserves a centerpiece of his tenure as National Bank of Poland governor. In January, he said that gold’s share of the central bank’s reserves should rise to 20% during his next term. Currently, the Polish central bank holds about 9% of its reserves in the yellow metal.

Rates up again, USD flat
A little surprised gold is only down a couple of bones.
Today is Fed day, seems to me it is a pretty important day because if they don’t announce some more buying of treasuries (or hint at it), I’d suspect bonds are going to selloff, rates rise and probably everything else will selloff with them – especially tech and pm’s.
The excitement is killing me LOL. Just thought about it, after 20 years of being in pm’s with most of you guys, we’ve probably been through 200 Fed meetings. Maybe 10% of them have had bullish outcomes. Recently, it seems we get sort of bullish moves after the Fed meeting for pm’s, but seen it erased the next day.

Sounds like you had a similar experience and funny about the needing a change of pants with those the the cockpit I was thinking the same thing. People were shook up until that guy made a comment about my stuffed animal but me being still quite young ably 18 thought that was the coolest thing. We didn’t go in straight and kinda reminded me of my first landing learning to take it in doing kinda S es but not as much as my first landing but in this case it was snow or ice think it was ice. From the engine I could hear him struggle to keep control of the runway.
You had more of a handle on what was going on so just reading it sounded scary and again a good pilot and luck makes a difference.
When going around a hurricane a friend who was taking pictures of one of the guys in the group Shaggy was next of me they were on the plane and we talked before we left and she’s taking pictures sheesh and said don’t worry I’m nurse that I’ll save them when place was jumping around. I told her if we go down there’s gonna be nothing much left of us to save don’t yah know lol and probably won’t be conscious. I was holding a cup of water watching like a leveler which way we were going and showed her cuz the weather was cloudy.
There was a pilot that flew for the president of another country laughing at our conversation. He mentioned about flying and that I must know something about flying listening to us talk. My friend was all jazzed about Shaggy they gave me a signed poster but I was more interested with flight talk with the pilot lol

Once returning to Minneapolis from LA… on a colorful BRANIFF 727… we departed LA while there was a raging snowstorm up in Minnesota. The pilot told us that the weather front was due to move past just before we arrived, so we should be OK for landing. Redeye nite flight, with dawn cracking as we were over the midwest. Out the window at altitude I could clearly see the sloping cold front, pushing a line of storm clouds ahead of it. Just past dawn we approached MSP International that had JUST opened after they cleared the runways. We were the first plane to land. We leveled out at the landing zone, and the plane floated… and floated… and floated. I was getting nervous because we were floating on dense cold air and going too far down the runway. The pilot had come in too fast. Now the pilot started to rock the plane to touch the left wheel, then the right wheel, back and forth twice touching before we finally settled on the runway. And then we slid… and slid. Brakes fully applied on ice, every time we hit a small dry patch of concrete the wheels jerked and BANG! like a shotgun from the wheels. BANG… BANG… BANG… each time slowing us a bit more. My heart was in my mouth. Finally we stopped.
Long pause until the pilot finally came on and apologized for the rough landing. He told us they closed the airport behind us again, and clearly had more work to do on the runways. We will be here for a few minutes while they bring out a ground tractor to tow our plane into the terminal. When they did, they first pushed the plane backwards half a plane length before spinning us around. THEN I saw the wingtips barely clearing the snowbank at the end of the runway. The nose of the plane must have been right up against that snowbank at the end! The pilots must have needed new underwear after watching that happen up front.
