Loading ...Yeah older people who sold their homes or many left them in 08 many to help their kids survive when rent was cheap too, now on limited income if renting. Those who Refied their mortgage got hit higher taxes in this state as their house now worth more.
No not all deserve it. Some who left California during the crash wanted to go back found they couldn’t afford it or taking the chance of not finding a job to support the cost of living.
Many working class living in their cars rather than pay those rents.
The police keep breaking up homeless camps that pop up everywhere. I remember one mobile home had a sign on it meant for police to have some humanity.
There were a few around here even along the Fwy for awhile then they were gone. I don’t know if they were the working class or had jobs.
Working class would get in gyms to take showers too then stay in their car. They will try to find each other for safety in numbers.
Not a time to rent also for income because if they don’t have to pay even if they can some won’t. They’re not looking down the road because evictions will go against them if they try to rent elsewhere later.
At the same time I don’t have much pity for these apts jacking up prices like they did. That’s why theirs a lot of working class that just refuse to get scalped by them but save then buy one. Corporations started buying them up then raising rents so then about everyone did. When Trump lowered taxes putting more money in people pockets these rats raised them again.
Perhaps interest rates should go up again like they did back in the 60s or whatever. They want to get into politics then they can put just as much of their money as their big mouths are or be a hypocrite. 70-90 percent. They want to push communism go for it.
