There is an old hay barn on my wife’s family farm composed of dimensional lumber and corrugated metal siding. I’m rich ! Only problem I see is taking it down and salvaging it.
After 90 years, those nails may not come out easily.
I’ll tell you: For one thing, if the vote turns out to have been compromised by fraud, Arizona is liable to lose a Democratic senator elected on Mr. Biden’s (possibly) phantom coattails — Mark Kelly (D) who defeated incumbent Martha McSally (R) — which would cancel the Democrats’ current one-vote majority grip on the body. The result of that would be the end of the party’s effort to jam various new laws down America’s craw: DC statehood, the HR-1 voter fraud act, the Supreme Court-packing bill, and, actually, anything else on the party’s Satanic wish-list for disassembling the republic.
“Complex systems that have artificially suppressed volatility tend to become extremely fragile, while at the same time exhibiting no visible risks. In fact, they tend to be too calm and exhibit minimal variability as silent risks accumulate beneath the surface. Although the stated intention of political leaders and economic policymakers is to stabilize the system by inhibiting fluctuations, the result tends to be the opposite. These artificially constrained systems become prone to ‘black swans’ — that is, they become extremely vulnerable to large-scale events that lie far from the statistical norm and were largely unpredictable to a given set of observers.
Such environments eventually experience massive blowups, catching everyone off-guard and undoing years of stability or, in some cases, ending up far worse than they were in their initial volatile state. Indeed, the longer it takes for the blowup to occur, the worse the resulting harm in both economic and political systems.”
According to the most recent 13F filings made with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the biggest banks on Wall Street are each sitting on hundreds of billions of dollars of stock positions – which we are now learning include highly leveraged stock positions for hedge funds called family offices.
The purpose of the SEC’s 13F filing is to provide transparency to the public as to the beneficial owners of publicly-traded stocks. Institutions holding more than $100 million in assets are supposed to file the 13F. But as the public learned to its horror over the past month, a reckless family office hedge fund called Archegos Capital Management built up stock positions estimated at $100 billion by borrowing about $90 billion of that from a handful of the largest Wall Street banks.
“In fact, our S&P 500 year-end target reflects a 4% total return from the current level, including dividends. Our mid-year 2021 target remains 4100”

Ugly, Tailing 2Y Auction Is Ill Omen As Bid-To-Cover; Indirect Bid Both Plunge
With the FOMC scheduled to take place on Wednesday, it means that we have an abbreviated Treasury auction schedule this week and with coupon sales all expected to fit before Wednesday, we have the 2Y and 5Y auctions today, the first of which just concluded in a surprisingly ugly sale of $60BN in 2-year paper.
Lots of snow … that’s the only drawback to living in Idaho. Why couldn’t the climate be more like Monterey or Santa Barbara? Oh well I guess it keeps out the riff raff.

You could camp out on my lawn – in the summer months. The winters? Well, you’d probably need to have a motorhome, in that case you could still camp on the lawn but the driveway might be better. It gets a bit windy and cold in the winters… 🙂
