Bummer.

(Reuters) – Ecuadorean banker Guillermo Lasso unexpectedly won the nation’s presidency on promises to revive an economy battered by coronavirus as his rival’s vows of a return to socialist largesse failed to win over a skeptical electorate.

Yep it is a slant but unlike some towns Huntington Beach will fight back. Last time they came and tried to rush them peacefully marching down the street they got their butts kicked. The women were holding their own too. One girl had one BLM down on the ground, I wonder if they’ll try to bring more this time. I’m worried about these out of shape losers bringing weapons.
Ps they word it that was to illicit violence against conservatives by the gullible and weak minded many of which grew up dependent on the government.
has Pink Floyd at war again. I’m still looking for the text for the PF article but haven’t seen out there yet.
Cheers

Myanmar security forces with rifle grenades kill over 80 protesters – monitoring group
(Reuters) – Myanmar security forces fired rifle grenades at protesters in a town near Yangon on Friday, killing more than 80 people, the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) monitoring group and a domestic news outlet said.
A video I ran across about Bill Gates, his evil at work in India and Africa, and of course what he wants for us.
Instead of countries defending against other countries, they are all defending against a germ. Instead spending tons of taxpayer money for industrial weaponry to destroy cities bomb lots of infrastructure and kill many lives?
They are spending tons of money on big pharma and related contracts. Many cities, economies, industries and lives have already been destroyed and its not over yet. The typical war goes four years, so we have three more to go.
Then naturally, after all the years of destruction, we get a post war recovery. Seems like the Marshall Plan has already started globally. Its amusing, how the Federal Reserve Banks have to buy all the “war bonds” this time instead of the people like during WW II.
Bottom line: This war has done more damage than all the other wars combined. Worse environment situation than Chernobyl, and all other air and water plastic bag and plastic straw pollution. It makes Iran and N. Korea Nuclear capability look like a .22 cal rifle, a firecracker.
How do we know some sicko lab worker (we have plenty created by media) didn’t leak it out on purpose? Or was paid by a special interest group that would profit on this mess.
Its obvious the population is full of sickos, and all the idiot democrats want to do is take revenge out on gun owners and cops. The past 50 year results are proof that college educated liberal idiots in high places are as dumb as a stump, and beyond repair. College educated democrats should be disqualified from gov’t legislative employment.
Gov De Santis in Florida is making all the right decisions ,even concerning Covid viris,a proven good decision maker. The Media has been proven to lie about him. What if they had a Biden type Governor ? They wouldent be growing their economy, people would be leaving the State and taking their money with them .
Yet they do all they can to get him out…lie ,cheat ,discredit him…What a bunch of greedy Power grabbers they are.Even if it means the State goes down the crapper ,they dont care .They would lie and blame a good Governor ! Its not only Stupid ,it shows who they really are ,they cant stand their own failures and they dont want any one else to succeed because it makes them look bad .Who in their right mind would give them Power ,only someone who is as sick minded as they are ..misery loves company …They deserve themselves. They would kill their own mothers ,then plead for mercy because they are orphans.!

Germany starts COVID testing drive in bid to end lockdown
German state, federal and public health officials have spent weeks debating if and how to roll out rapid tests for mass use, as other countries have been doing for months. A plan for that has finally taken shape.

Every person in Germany will be entitled to a weekly COVID test
The days of shelling out €25 or even €50 ($30-60) for a rapid test may be numbered. The latest pandemic plan agreed to late Wednesday between Chancellor Angela Merkel and 16 state leaders, puts forward a complex, step-by-step guide to moving Germany out of lockdown. But little can happen without sufficient testing.
The federal government is expected to start picking up the tab for rapid tests starting next week.
Every person in Germany will be entitled to a weekly test, either from a test center, medical practice, or place of work, administered by trained personnel. Schools and day cares are a particular focus, as a means of getting kids and teachers safely and regularly back in the classroom.
Barrick accepts reduced ownership stake in deal to restart Papua New Guinea gold mine
CALGARY – Barrick Gold Corp. says its suspended gold mine in Papua New Guinea will resume operations later this year after negotiations to settle a bitter dispute with the national government resulted in the state taking a much larger ownership stake.
The Porgera gold mine was suspended last April when the government refused to renew the special mining lease for operator Barrick Niugini Ltd., a 50-50 joint venture owned by Toronto-based Barrick and China’s Zijin Mining Group Ltd.
Under the renegotiated agreement, the 95 per cent stake in the mine held by BNL drops to 49 per cent and the government’s ownership jumps from five per cent to 51 per cent, although BNL will still be the operator.
However, Barrick says the economic benefits generated over the life of mine are to be split on a 53-47 per cent basis with the larger share going to the government.
It says BNL has to pay all the capital costs of restarting the mine and, in 10 years, the state will have the right to buy its 49 per cent stake at fair market value.

He was interestingly picked by do nothing Barr. He wanted to lock up the Trump supporters indefinitely for “ meandering “ in a open door building. He thinks they stopped coming because of him not because they had jobs to go back to and weren’t planing on pitching tents like the left but supporting their president , although that day may come at this point. He wants to make a example out of those Trump supporters.
I can multiply what it is but what I missed is the yearly interest.
This low interest rate not not only inflated housing prices but deflated the interest of savers. You won’t get that interest now. It’s all messed up in a I got mine you get yours mentality.
We should raise the interest rates again for the first generations and retirees
plus if people like Gates, Bezos, Coke and Delta backing moving the game to Colorado others who want to play politics are sincere let them pay taxes. Let Biden honor his promise not to hurt small business and not raise taxes on those making 400k or less and raise up all the multi nationals and the interest rate back when things were better. When housing and cost of living matched wages back in the 60s.
A nurse friend in Colorado says they’re happy about it, it’s going to bring them millions. She wasn’t paying attention so she asked me why that happened.
Just google, “$200000 plus 6% per year is”
I did it again here, $200,000 at 6% for 20 years (not 34 years) and it comes out $641,247. Make believe the inflation rate is 6%. So 200k house needs to triple to stay even 20 years later. Geez at one time a loaf of bread was a dime, 10 loaves per dollar, now a dollar is 4 slices.
A lot of things we buy today are 10-15- and 20 times more from the late 1960s prices. I remember long ago thinking, a typical 5% mortgage on a $40,000 house is NOTHING compared to 6% mortgage on a $400,000 house. Maybe that why the house loans are so low.
