I don’t believe I have ever seen premiums this high on metals. The true markets are revealed. If I had enough cash, I would attempt to take delivery of a futures contract but I would wager the devil is in the details.

I can’t seem to hold cash in my account for more than a few days. Always some new stock I’ve been looking at that wants to be bought!

I have paid off some debt with profits which was constructive.

It saved me a bunch of cash in the short term. If things turn and pm stuff changes and reverse course, then clearly I’ve made a mistake.

Unfortunately I’ve seen this movie too many times and it is no longer a movie but more of a horror show. Hopefully things change in the pm’s favor, but we’ll see

It did the same thing in early May and late April, Gold has been climbing since March anyway. Its amusing how all the other allegedly “free floating” currencies all go inverse opposite lock step in unison. Since everything is priced in Dollars.

I always use the HUI as a metric for pm shares as a whole, even if it’s not the best metric.

Regardless, this is the same crap that always happens. We are unable to surpass a certain level and then get crushed to the downside.

I keep getting in the trap of thinking gold will go to $3K but it can never sustain a rally for any great length of time. When it does go up it’s usually a few bucks at a time. That guys charts and logic were spot on. He’s exactly right when he says once the pm shares stop rising with the metals, it’s game over.

Unbelievable that the HUI was 600 back in 2006 and I think 2011. It’s the only sector that doesn’t follow the underlying commodity or inflation in the stock market.

I bought a little the other day, a little more today. Its running wild. Where she stops nobody knows. $70 in 2017. Hes been selling since November. Maybe he pushed ir down.

The problem with top-down command economies is that production goals MUST be met , even if materials are not available . I saw a video many years ago where they were substituting bamboo for rebar on a dam , during a supply shortage. How do you keep bamboo from floating during a pour ? … and what is the long term effect of alkalinity on bamboo fibers ?

It would have been a good time to bomb the upstream 3 Gorges DAM and wash the whole Goddam Wuhan LAB away .   Then Tell them its a fish market in the making without any virus,they can build it back better without the LAB.

I see the Rig as keeping PM’s weak and dangerous to longs, keeping the SM super safe for longs and whenever the SM is threatened, they put a bid into the Dollar to make it look like the safe haven of choice…..Rates they have a harder time with, but they try to keep them soft, hence the long term bull mkt for bonds…..though that could be ending and then become real problem, for them.

So yes that is why like today , we have an SM hit and the dollar goes bid…creating the right perception.

I always wonder about the PPT and if they are buying dollars in the futures market to keep it “strong.” A little leverage goes a long way and we know they’re not shy about manipulating markets. This is highlighted with strength on a day when like you mentioned the Russians are dumping their dollar positions.

..but RECAF is up by 25%  (more in toronto and frankfurt) !!!

I’m glad you escaped this downturn … but I have to think it’s just temporary. Fundamentals are way on our side. At what point do you buy back in or are you going to diversify?

I sold half my shares because his argument and charts made complete sense and as we know, downside charts in pm’s always work.

Good employment and productivity numbers came out so that’s a gimme for the scum to goose the USD, Rates and sell PM’s – so typical. Jobs numbers come out tomorrow so they’ll get a chance to crush us again.

Whenever we sit around key numbers like $1900 & $28 for more than a week or two, pm’s always resolve to the downside. Never shitcoin though.

Starting to look a lot like a repeat of 2014, if so, that would be seriously ugly. We could drop $300 in a matter of days.

It’s not rocket science. June is historically a nasty month for PMs.

But the PM share to PMs ratios are almost at their 38.2% retracements (today? tomorrow? next week? – soon), for the HUI/Gold ratio at the 50-day MA.

Strange, the last two times I clicked to see the train photo, I got an Apple pop up with my settings icon, that my iPhone battery was infected, virus, malware etc with instructions to click “ok” to fix it.

Naturally I don’t click it. Takes a few times to get rid of it too.
