most people don’t realize that the ending (punchline?) means more in french than in english.

the english (a business-like race) have a cliche’  “minding our own business.”

the french, more interested in the pleasures of the table, would likely use – “tending our own garden.”

Good old Dr. Pangloss.  Haven’t read it in years, but found it right away in my “gotta have ’em close by” bookshelves. Might be time for another look.  Currently re-reading my all-time favorite, The Sun Also Rises.

it’s almost embarrassing…

i’m catching up to hunter biden.

i haven’t made as much per month in the oil business (recaf) as hunter biden did (burisma).

..but it’s getting to be an appreciable fraction of it.  🙂

Walmart Gets Behind U.S. Manufacturing With 10-Year, $350 Billion Investment

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 21:02 on June 15, 2021

Another Reversal gang. The “reset” we hear about is more like reversal.

Parts of link:

The retailer said it will cultivate American-made products through reshoring, expanding orders with existing suppliers and placing orders with new suppliers.

In addition to the job growth, the initiative will have a positive impact on the environment, with 100 million tons of CO2 emissions avoided by sourcing products in closer proximity to consumers.

Walmart is launching American Lighthouses to unite key stakeholders in specific regions of the country to identify and overcome top-down barriers to U.S. production. The Lighthouses will bring together participants from the supplier community, including manufacturers and NGOs, leaders from academia, government and local economic development groups.

By joining together key regions and various stakeholders, Walmart believes it can improve supply chain efficiency, which will support the goal of bringing back U.S. manufacturing in a sustainable, long-term way.

“U.S. manufacturing really matters,” Furner said. “It matters to our suppliers, to entrepreneurs and to the environment. It matters to our customers with more than 85% of them saying that it’s important for us to carry products made or assembled in the U.S. Most of all, because of the jobs it brings, it matters to American communities and the people who live in them.”

Let’s go back to the Korean War. We weren’t just fighting N Korea. China was helping them too. Ironic we save China in WW11 against Japanese a more cultural and honorable as far as their word than China while China turns on us overwhelms and slaughter marines in Korea. This was one horrible battle.

IMO there is no greater mind out there trying to expose the truth than James Corbett. Please listen to this interview unless you prefer not to know. Hey, it’s your choice, at least for the present.

France’s ally’s leaders should of told France that trying to take over VN is wrong and back off Vietnam. Why the H did we have to pay the price for what they caused. They divided the country and brought in communism to save them from France. Then we’re expected to come along and save one half from communism. They caused it they should of fixed it themselves.
The bad guys sitting on the side lines waiting for a opportunity keep popping up and not done yet.
Now they’re trying to divide this country.

OT Ivermectin and dogs … “white feet do not treat”

Posted by ipso facto @ 11:52 on June 15, 2021

I was looking into treating my Border Collie cross with Ivermectin and found out that many herding breeds have a gene mutation that makes it more dangerous for them to be treated with it. They can be tested for this mutation.

“Ivermectin Sensitivity in Collies and Similar Breeds
Neurotoxicity can also occur with Ivermectin usage in some dogs. This is particularly common in dogs that have a genetic mutation known as the MDR1 (multi-drug resistance) gene mutation.2

This gene mutation is known to occur most commonly in breeds such as collies, Australian shepherds, shelties, long-haired whippets, English sheepdogs, German shepherds, Silken Windhounds, Skye terriers, and other breeds with white feet. Symptoms of neurotoxicity include lack of coordination, muscle tremors, seizures, blindness, and death, thus earning the motto “white feet, do not treat” with Ivermectin.

Ivermectin used at dosages used for heartworm prevention is generally safe for these dogs. However, the drug should not be used at higher doses for dogs that may possess the MDR1 gene mutation. There is a test that can be performed to check for the gene mutation.”

Gold started down June 2nd. These tickers are higher than June 2nd anyway.

SAND KNTNF, SA, GATO, USAU. The SAND the best running Royalty with a div, I’ve been on it a very long time, finally in the money on it and been adding to it.

DRD I have, took a good drop with Gold starting June 2nd $13 to $12/sh and it pays a 5% div. After the Fed speaks maybe Gold and all these miners will lift off.

Roger all those posts. Everything is a mess. I listened to one hour of the tape yesterday, 38 minutes left. I pretty much knew it all. When I was in my 20s, between the dragged out Vietnam, and the anti American gun control act of 1968, I knew the bad people were in charge.

I was pessimistic for the future of the country back then. After the 9/11 attack, I knew nothing would be the same anymore. Bad for the bad people. Then 2008 confirmed it. The bad people have been screwed ever since. Like the old westerns when one cowboy would shoot at the feet of the other cowboy, make him dance around, that’s the same as the Fed and Gov’t leaders jumping around. Trying to keep the game going.

like where did JPM make $500 billion……selling hell out of Silver for the Fed and front running the trades.

While Fed Chair Jerome Powell sees current inflation as transient, as supply shocks and reopening demand level out, Jamie Dimon is preparing JPMorgan (JPM) for a different environment.

Quote: “We have a lot of cash and capability and we’re going to be very patient, because I think you have a very good chance inflation will be more than transitory. If you look at our balance sheet, we have $500B in cash, we’ve actually been effectively stockpiling more and more cash waiting for opportunities to invest at higher rates. I do expect to see higher rates and more inflation, and we’re prepared for that.”

Here come the scum…..

Thanks for bringing up the post for Portugueser with the video. I texted it to a young grandson who is interested in politics despite the propaganda in schools which apparently isn’t as bad here than other places like teaching graphic sexual activities that would suit a gay community to 5 yr olds parents are livid about but yet they never get censored but should be more than censored and have a restraining order not to be around children. He wants to move to a red state Texas before he’s even old enough. His parents aren’t that political so he’s on his own thinking but I’m glad he is thinking which means other kids are too.

Fed meeting this week. Hard to believe that another month has gone by and we have to hear from those criminals. I suspect there’ll be a lot bluster about a taper program by the financial media which anyone with a brain knows can’t happen.

Nonetheless, whispers of taper will give our pm’s fits and goose the USD. It’s always the same.
