My daughter got the shot 2 months ago and is still not well.She first came down with Bells Palsey and was unable to work for several weeks.She just now went back to work part time .She is a Postal employee .Gets tired fast,face swollen from steroids the DR’s gave her . Many things were already trending down the prior week of two. So anticipation of what the Fed would say, was already “baked in”. So, when the Fed chief Powell comes out and using only words, nothing else, about raising the rates, he gave the prior down trends a final push. So many things are in reverse.

I agree. Absolutely no way the US backs the USD with gold, why should the politicians back their unlimited paper with anything real?

Looks like a dead cat bounce this am. We were up $20, now $12 and they just keep chipping away. Kind of a normal day. Rambus’ $1780 is now resistance of course.

That would be a great idea but I think the current kind of politicians wouldn’t be able to print their way out of their economic mistakes.
Currently the Dembos are crafting something like a 6 trillion so called infrastructure bill that would include so called immigration reform giving illegals citizenship. It would also lower Medicare to age 60 but I fear it may not stop there
That’s another thing that happened before.
These immigrants would then be sending gold back to their countries instead of dollars depleting our reserves.
If you can get politicians to live without printing and within their “ our” means and not allow our gold to be depleted by foreigners since it would be gold backed maybe it could help.
Back when cant remember when now the only other time the stock market was halted when gold was backed because foreigners were buying stocks then wanting gold depleting our reserves.
