Ur old enough to remember the term Bond Vigilantes, from the time the Bond mkt ran rates, if the Fed/Government was screwing up the Bond mkt told e’m by driving rates up or down irrespective of what the Fed wanted. Yes the Fed could set rates out to maybe 1 year, certainly 6 months, but go any further and the mkt ruled.

That has changed an awful lot, because A the banks are in lockstep with the Fed, as they get to front run scum trading, making billions and B because via a combination of QE and outright Futures manipulation, the Fed has sent the vigilantes to sleep…..the Fed has also made the Bond mkt main competitor for money, the SM an easy place to park money and make out like a bandit.

But today we see more signs the Bond mkt is waking up, to inflation/debt fears…it’s very early days, but the way rates shot up on the numbers and then the scum came and knocked them back, only for the auction results to drive ’em way back up, way above the initial move….that says the mkt may be waking up….how the scum sort that out, ain’t easy given the size of the financing needs.

I’m glad I wasn’t sitting on it lately. Its looks like management did the same thing that happened with MP Materials. The old Molycorp. And its been taking a long time to recover afterward.

Comment: What the hell are they round about talking about?? Insiders are selling? Did they jaw bone it down to buy back shares? Smells fishy. Who cares? When Silver spot starts rebounding it will probably take off again for its final bottom happens.

They say the Bond Market is big and smart. And anticipates this or that future trend. BUT!!!

What about the Fed that keeps buying Bonds? Are THEY the “big smart bond market”?? Is the Fed controlling the bond market? Or is it the alleged free market auctions?

Or is the highly leveraged manipulated COMEX futures market via Goldman Sachs JP Morgan involved pushing Bond prices and rates? I report, you decide. What the HELL is going on with this man made artificial fake money financial system.

Totally agree. The only thing that keeps me in these markets is the faith that eventually reality is realized.

Hopefully it happens while I’m still around! On that note I expect we’ll do well in the next five years.

Back in the dim distant past u saw moves like this, but they were due to a misinterpretation or a sharply revised past figure that changed the overall direction of the numbers…..etc….Now we get these mad gyrations every time a number comes out, especially when the scum don’t like it.
