Maybe funny but could happen just as well with fiat cuz most use mostly cards today.
And if power went out your new electric car won’t work without a gas powered generator but gas pumps will not be working either. Either will the electric cash “ card now” registers.
Gone are the days of mechanicals be cars cash registers “ cash” registers, typewriters that didn’t need to be plugged in or dependent on computer chips.
So as far as cryptos which are getting more and more regulated and talk of crypto backed ETFs I get their point but it still is in the realm of the story we all remember of “ sour grapes” phenomenon.

although shares aren’t really selling off in the premarket with GDX and GDXJ up a couple pennies.

We’ll see if the SM can hold these early gains.
