TPTB Are So Amusing, Re The 1970s Versus These Days

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:50 on October 6, 2021

In the 1970s when all the smart people and their grand mother (a small group) were buying Gold and Silver as inflation hedges, to protect themselves against inflation, or falling value US Dollar, the Idiot Bankers kept raising rates lock step as Gold and Silver were doing great, but behind the curve until they got them to 21% on the prime rate.   (AU $140-$800, AG $1 to $50)

This time? 1980 to present? After 1980 the masses of the population gradually got smart and unwittingly started using Stocks Bonds and Real Estate as inflation hedges. But this time its “hands off” on stopping the regular masses. Evidently higher precious metals made the US Dollar look bad, and they didn’t want that.

But after 1980 US Dollar has been losing value against stocks bonds and real estate, but thats ok, because most of the population is not using precious metals, the Dopey/Dollar looks great??  Why aren’t they taking away the punch bowl? LOL they did it to us, a minority group quite often.

Globalization a big stupid thing that is getting found out, is vulnerable just like the thin weak floor boards that made the Trade Center fake buildings vulnerable to fires. They wanted open floor plans, didn’t use 4 square 1910 codes. A sturdy center and perimeter, secured together by the crappy floor boards. Note a “world that lives as one” all get sick and broke as one. Independent self reliant countries was safer.

Will They Or Will They Not Raise The National Debt Limit By October 18th

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 16:15 on October 6, 2021

Part:

The Treasury Department is currently using so-called emergency extraordinary measures to pay down U.S. receipts since reaching the last debt ceiling at the end of July. Extraordinary measures allow the department to both conserve cash and draw down certain accounts without issuing new bonds.

But those measures are temporary and are only forecast to endure until mid-October, according to Treasury estimates.

While the U.S. has never failed to pay its bills, economists say a default would spark widespread damage through a jump in interest rates, tarnished faith in Washington’s ability to honor its future obligations on time and potentially delaying Social Security checks to some 50 million older adults.

Members of the U.S. armed services could also see their pay delayed as a result of a default. Lawmakers on both sides of the political aisle recognize that the debt ceiling must be increased or risk economic upheaval. But the two sides appeared far from a compromise as of Tuesday morning.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/10/05/debt-ceiling-us-faces-recession-if-congress-doesnt-act.html

Comment: Sounds like they (the people that benefit the most from taxes) are scared stiff of a US default. Normally after the disaster of a default the debtor or business changes its name, gets a fresh start, and a good credit rating because no more debt.

Naturally they’d rather let a default happen on its own naturally. Let the good times roll for now. Piss away more borrowed counterfeit money to buy build and do things while they can still “get away with it” like the no doc liar loans, the ’08 crash and bailouts and poor Bernie Madoff until the end.

No clue about candles but the HUI looks OK today. Never know what tomorrow will bring, but today is fine so far especially given the USD and rates.

Nice little candle in the HUI

Very sad but true! In some ways Russia has more freedom than the USA. For example: Vaccine mandates.

What a crazy world!

PS Our billionaires are too busy trying to rule the world to worry about helping people.

Russia The way things are going here with the open borders new voting cretins, the demos who I don’t think any other country would even want yet alone elect people may being considered moving to Russia.
Here’s a park in Russia with 10 sections build by a wealthy store owner that’s quite beautiful that lights up at night for his people. How many wealthy here would think of doing something like that on his own dime. Too selfish.,They don’t even care about the people, who they bring in, or just cheap labor and the kind of people they fund hell with country.
He even has his own football “ soccer” training center free to the kids. Amazing and the park is beautiful. Plus there’s no hyper inflation or will let Wall Street , Feds or bankers cause a housing crisis or put up with illegals or likes of Antifa or CRT or BLM causing looting and riots. They just won’t have it there or them.
This guy would like to go to America with his wife and baby but I think he’s better off where he’s at in his own home that he can afford with his friends and having a great life. Reminds me a bit of the way things were here once long ago before they started letting special interest ruin this country.

yr being practical….this is Alice in Wonderland non reality. To open up Nord 2 is to admit their idiot green policies don’t work.

Merkel was of course infamous for never making a decision, so she probably put it off until after the election, for her successor…..but they haven’t got one and won’t for months.

Wellcome to the world of the EU.

Seems foolish to delay the inevitable. The EU badly needs the gas and Putin can supply it.

I don’t know much about it but the recently erratic nature of the supply of gas from Russia via the other pipelines could be Vlad saying he’d like the Nordstream 2 pipeline to be approved post haste.

Cheers

The way the title is posted doesn’t seem quite right does it.

Certainly we need to mine more rare earth minerals here so that we have control over our own supply. Right now China has us by the yarbles as far as that goes.

Royalties will just cause higher prices for the minerals involved and less of them. IMO

@ipso facto re 11:55 new US mining royalty plan as anti-green, pro-China

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 12:59 on October 6, 2021

I think the title is wrong. Taxing us and encourage mining to go to China and away from USA is pro-green here, and anti greed in China. Maybe I don’t understand it right? But typical Democrats seem to always love foreign countries and foreign people. Its like the democrats and 3/4 of the republicans are a net anti American global gov’t.

Story condensed:

“The president and House Democrats want to make it more difficult to get to these minerals we need. And they seek to eliminate all mining on federal lands,” said Ranking Republican Member John Barrasso (Wyoming) in Tuesday’s hearing.

that would set an 8% gross royalty on existing mines and 4% on new ones. There would also be a 7 cent fee for every tonne of rock moved. The 1872 law did not set royalties in order to encourage development of more than 350 million acres in the western United States. Miners

“This is clearly an example where the legislation will help China and hurt the United States and make us more dependent on China and potentially other adversaries for critical minerals that we need, including for our national defense,”

Nordstream 2 is a v hot political potatoe . No-one in Germany/Europe wants to admit they don’t care about handing Vlad an even bigger control of their energy. They all want to pretend that the Sun and Wind will provide.

So they are delaying and delaying the signing off…why see above.

Plus the Nordstream Deal was signed off by Schroeder, when he was Chancellor, then when he retired he announced he was going to be Chairman of the operation……which is another reason for not talking about it.
