R640 – South African variant

Not surprising that not a lot of people have heard of it, even in SA.  Not many cases of it out there yet, so they don’t know really how contagious it is.  What has the virologists blow away is the stunning cluster of mutations it shows.  At last count I read there were 29 new mutations of the spike proteins they sequenced… which means it would likely escape all the present mRNA shots.
