You are a good poster as well as others. I enjoy your post and even shared a few. I can feel your point but know people are out there I guess. And even me usually never a loss for words is totally disgusted at the moment I don’t even have anything to say. Currently not even charting until I feel the wind blow. But I do know there is regular people who donate and if I could no longer contribute I would stop posting too. May not be the sole reason if that happened, could be something else like too busy or dead but one of them.

I’d like to see more participation from different posters … the financial part is no worries. I’m sure when we have a new fundraiser it will be well attended as it has in the past.

Even when someone has nothing amazing to say (moi) it’s still nice to see them post.

Cheers

Good to see your post. Yes lurkers will come forward and have enough if they see it but the problem is those who can’t or it’s difficult depending on where they are.
If it was anonymous maybe that would help not put others on the spot.
People once doing okay the situation or health changes may feel they can no longer post because they couldn’t contribute and don’t want people to know their situation or have people feel sorry for them. They just stop posting.

Lol okay then. I can also see where foreign posters would have a difficulty too. I have a feeling though when the PMs do rise up from the ashes things are not going to be good. Hard to imagine though with things going from bad to worse but golds history of being one of the last values be old Germany, Zimbabwe or Venezuela I just hope everyone’s in safe places if we’re still around.

I read your post about low posting on the site and did not know how to respond. Was it a suggestion that the costs of the site need to be borne more equitably. as some posters have commented? Or was it a plea for more posts?

If it was the former, many of us, including myself, are eager to contribute to preserving our island of sanity on the web.

If it was the latter. I read and appreciate just about every post.

This is the first place I go on the internet after looking at the price of gold and the weather. Every single day. Because just checking in at the forum will give me a bird’s eye view of what’s going on in the whole world. I guess I am reluctant to post more often because I feel I am preaching to the choir. But we do have a wonderful choir.

We’ve never had trouble funding the site. I don’t expect it will be any different for the next fundraiser … plus it’s much less expensive now than where we were before.

I’ve thought we could have ads on the sidebar in the past but now since the site is not costly it makes less sense.

I think the paucity of posters is mostly because of the poor performance of the PMs. People are disillusioned … having said that … maybe we’re at bottom. It’s gotta happen sometime!

Cheers

I remember when Wanka started this site he had a option for adds to pay for the site but wanted it to stay private. However things have changed since then including the shares and economy in general.
I think part of the silence is because of the funding of the site even though people of logging in and lurking at the time might contribute if they see it.
Things are different for many now.
Perhaps you could let a few adds go on the side bar or what ever as long as it’s protected from outright spammers to pay for the site it would make it less burdensome for people including yourself keeping things going. Just a idea.

Re The Consumer Counts For 70% of The Economy as per TPTB Media

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 15:17 on December 10, 2021

If this is true, than inflation in the Consumer Price Index, will need higher inflation in wages. If wages don’t keep up or pass the CPI, then its a net deflation in wages, and they will spend less money and drag down businesses.

And look at these groups of people going into stores and stealing everything? Whats with that crap? They don’t make very much money. Plus, they want cheap things they can sell to the public on line like dept store importers do. Dirt cheap from China.

Well, the robbers that have low wages from globalization and outsourcing are now getting free stuff to sell.

The Future Is Always A Surprise, And Lots Of Financial Media News Has No Value And Often Wrong

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 14:21 on December 10, 2021

So if everybody and their uncle is saying inflation will be a problem, don’t be surprised if this distorted value financial system ends up going into a horrendous DEFLATION problem instead, that nobody perceived possible with all the money creation by the Fed.

The excess money seems to be going into bank accounts and bonds driving rates down. The other receptacles used as inflation hedges are real estate and stocks. They seem over priced to me, like Silver at $50 and Gold at $850 in 1980.

Besides that, the Fed has been fighting a deflation re low rates, some commodities have been falling in value and some rising. So there is no uniform inflation or uniform deflation. Its a mixed bag going on.

Deflation won’t hurt Gold. They last time in the 1930s the gov’t itself DROPPED the dollar and raised Gold by 78%, $19 to $34 to get prices higher. Don’t worry about gold. $1800 plus 78% is $3200, and miners will get very profitable. Beside they will probably need to go back to a gold backed currency after this system takes a crap for itself.

Thanks for your support!

I just hope that there’s not chaos in our society shortly after the gov loses control of the gold market.

Off Topic Story Regarding Housing Discrimination.

Posted by Mr.Copper @ 13:09 on December 10, 2021

One of our high school friends from decades ago, went to school to become a lawyer. Early in his career he had a client to defend. He told the defendant to dress very very nice, with suit and tie polished shows etc.

The lawyer went to court in regular shabby street clothes. When the prosecutor told the Police Officer to identify, or point at the accused, the cop pointed at the lawyer.

Naturally the judge got angry and reamed out the lawyer for pulling such a dirty trick that worked.

Around here they have been sending out fake buyers and renters to entrap race housing discrimination. (just another money grab) White testers, and people of color testers to document violations they are mining for.

If they told the White testers to show up in front of a landlord, or real estate broker with shabby clothes and an old beat up car that borders on junk, the White people would be discriminated against. “Oh sorry it’s already been taken”

If they told the people of color testers, to dress perfectly, and drive up in newer polished expensive looking cars, or SUVs, even if they have to rent one, they would be treated very respectively get preferential treatment.

The metals are going into the winter doldrums as usual.

Certainly hope that’s the case and January start to go better. I have no clue what will get the shares going because they aren’t following the metals, at least on a day to day basis.

Ipso, regarding your post about low traffic and taking down the tent. Please don’t. I lurk here daily and would be happy to support a tent-o-thon if you have one.

The information and point of view I read here are little nuggets of gold to me.

I post when I feel I have something up to “tent standards “, LOL

All the best

The metals are going into the winter doldrums as usual. You have a great site with really nice people IMHO.  Remember the stress is man made to wear you down. Don’t let the PTB win this thing, we got the precious. They got paper and digits. There was a time in Berlin when you could buy a whole city block for a $20- Eagle, or a woman for the nite for a can of Spam. Hang tough man, our time will come.

Serabi Gold’s Coringa project in Brazil hit by court ruling

Posted by ipso facto @ 8:38 on December 10, 2021

Shares in Serabi Gold (LON: SRB) (TSX: SBI) fell on Thursday after a Brazilian judge ruled that no future licenses or titles should be granted to the company until it is proven that its Coringa gold project doesn’t pose harm to Indigenous tribes, or until they are consulted.

The miner said that, in its view, the ruling does not imply a project suspension, adding that it continues with current project development plans at Coringa.
