The future of Pan American Silver Corp.’s PAAS Navidad silver project is uncertain again as of Dec 20, after the executive of the Province of Chubut in Argentina repealed the mining law approved earlier this month. The law had triggered expectations that the company would be able to start the project — one of the world’s largest undeveloped silver deposits after an 18-year long wait

At close to 14 000 feet and with seabed locations close to Hawaii as deep as 18 000 feet , we’re talking over 30 000 feet elevation difference . Six miles !
In the late 1960’s I hiked to a ridge at 12 600 feet , and could only climb a few feet without a break to catch my breath as I neared the summit* . Yours , at a thousand feet higher , would be impossible for me to climb even 50 years ago.
* but at the peak was an old man , age 86 – a Mr. Oviatt who had made the climb every year since 1936 except for the year before .
” why didn’t you make it last year ?”
Mr. O “Because my doctor said my heart could not take it.”
” And this year ?”
Mr. O ” I didn’t go to the doctor.”
True story !

Going to give it another try today?
Shares (HUI) didn’t perform so well yesterday, but metals continue to creep up.
Eventually, this is going to blow higher – I swear it will. 🙂

then again the scum are happy campers, they have the SM all ready to close the year at record all time highs.
The only thing they need to add to such an event, is hearing the Trophy Wifes Ski Instructor, has got anther dose, so he can’t bang her..!!!!!!

I grew up in Wisconsin. I have done outside work at -60f. When I had a chance to move to Hawaii at age 25 I never looked back. This is as close as I get to snow now days. This is the Maunakea snow capped summit, 13,796ft, as seen from Hilo town on 12/24.

The next winter we had 172 inches total accumulation . Both years were records .
I have seen -45F many times on the window thermometer .
That’s why I’m in Florida ! NEVER again will I live in winters like that . Call me a pansy if you like , but it beats freezing to death in a few minutes if you found yourself accidentally locked outside without adequate clothing .
My place had a sauna hut out back , and I have made ‘snow angels’ in the snowdrifts while nude after getting heated up in the sauna when the temperature outside was -20F . Great way to cleanse the pores !

That’s what they did pre 08. Made everything look fine with their bad loans they repackaged and rated as tripe As and bonds thrown in the mix to keep them up until…

Exactly, but the cars, cards, or even art can’t be manipulated as easy as the market. Even phyzz was marked up.

Tahoe used to have a scenic roller coasters that looked like single go carts you’d go by yourself in the mountains was quite a long ride. Then one winter a few years back heavy snow crushed it. They still do have a quite high zip line plus a bunch of other things. If you have any breathing problems you can’t even go there to watch as it’s way up there, you could bring a parachute because there’s no turn around. You’d have to wait and zip line down. The roads to there are also iffy, including landslides both winter and summer and could get stuck for awhile.
It is cool driving up there with the snow piled up and see cabins covered in it and lucky the roofs didn’t cave in and that’s in spring when the snows melting leaving little waterfalls here and there coming down when the roads are a little safer.

It all seems simple and a no brainer for those watching what should be traded to hedge inflation and the devaluating dollar. Nope, the Fed is lying about both keeping them down while they’re propping themselves up and buying bonds paying themselves to save themselves and causing overvaluation of stocks. So, so far it only leaves people to cut their portfolios in a expectation of a crash, make shorter term trades to some and move into tangibles.

Some years it doesn’t snow at all here and others quite a bit, up to two feet or so. Usually it goes quick but being so cold this will stick for a while.
It reminds me of why I moved out of the mountains!
PS “Bullhead City” Nice!

That’s a lot of snow for you I assume?
I know they’re getting dumped on at my place in Pocatello and it’s been raining down here in southern CA and back in Bullhead City where I’m staying.
I’d rather have the snow with a little cover and mild winds in Idaho, the wind can make the temps bitter.

I think this is what we want to see? Persistent strength?
Really pleased with silver, like I added in my last post, buying the dip in AEM and GOLD.
Large caps underperforming for now but not sure that will be the case as the day goes on.
