Not a full ‘warning’. We had 1 to 3 ft. harbor level oscillations most of the morning. Our typical tides are 0-3 ft, so at high tide we had some minor edge flooding around the harbors.
That was a stunning satellite photo of the plume. Yes, it was compared to looking like Hiroshima, but I doubt seriously it was a nuke. Who would waste a nuke out there in the middle of the ocean. The area is geologically active with faults and earthquakes. Early reports from Tonga, 40 miles away said the sky was black and raining ash and pebbles. They were expecting several centimeters of ash fall. Then the internet went dead there. Not surprising that it would interrupt satellite service. Possible shoreline infrastructure damage also
