Re The Trade Center Buildings, with “open floor plans” the weakest link was the flimsy floorboards hold the walls parallel. Once the floors melted, the whole hollow things went down faster than a speeding bullet.
The Financial System, same thing. Only as strong as its weakest links. And those links are the people, the population, the small businesses etc. The governments and huge corporations and banks, need the healthy wealthy and wise little guys for them to survive.
Making small businesses compete against big business and or against unfair foreign competition, kills profits, which kills tax payments. Less profits means less employees and or lower pay checks, which means less income taxes paid and less spending and hand outs instead. Supposedly they say the Consumer is 70% of the economy.
So the system has literally fooled itself and screwed itself when during the 1970s big business complained about wages keeping up with inflation, and put a STOP to that, by busting Unions and using the media propaganda to claim we had a wage price spiral that was driving inflation. NOT the excess counterfeit money.
And guess what? I heard that phrase a few times lately, “Wage Price Spiral”. Ok a’hole system, start knocking, blaming wages again for inflation.
