This week, while Dr. Kory and Dr. Marik were attending the International COVID Summit in France, we put the spotlight on nurses. Mary-Beth Charno, a certified nurse practitioner who is in private practice in New York, and Kristina Morros, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and FLCCC’s Clinical Advisor, talked about what Advanced Practice Nurses do and the role of nurses during the COVID pandemic. They discussed their own experiences using the FLCCC protocols and the pressures they and other nurses have faced, including the day Mary-Beth received a ‘cease-and-desist’ letter from the New York Attorney General.
We also featured a video from April López, a Board Certified Family Practice Nurse Practitioner who contracted COVID in June 2021. After winning her personal battle with COVID, she reopened her practice and has now treated more than 2,400 patients and counting.
