China has ordered central government agencies and state-backed corporations to replace foreign-branded personal computers with domestic alternatives within two years, marking one of Beijing’s most aggressive efforts so far to eradicate key overseas technology from within its most sensitive organs.

Staff were asked after the week-long May break to turn in foreign PCs for local alternatives that run on operating software developed domestically, people familiar with the plan said. The exercise, which was mandated by central government authorities, is likely to eventually replace at least 50 million PCs on a central-government level alone, they said, asking to remain anonymous discussing a sensitive matter.

probably the best we’re going to get today and that’s not very promising at the moment.

USD has rallied back and is now up yet again. Silver sitting on support. Kinda scary.

Well in about 10 minutes we get the jobs report.

I’d have to think that the SM needs a weak report to keep rates in check, but who knows how this will shakeout.

Update: 438K jobs reported, I don’t know what the estimates were but I have to think this is around expectations. Gold and Silver up a little, USD taking a breather, as are rates.

Biden says those who oppose him are “extremists”. So with an approval rating of only 39% (and falling) for Biden, that means 61% of Americans are “extremists”. Yet in politics, 61% is called a “Majority”. So the Dumbocrats are obviously afraid that the ‘extremist majority’ is coming for them. This election will be interesting… if it happens before nuclear war… or happens at all.
