idaho is beautibul in the summer, but the winters are horrific.  when you get to venice, take a little trip to el jobean  (~20 mi southeast) there used to be an old abandoned railroad bridge there.  when i was in high school, we would go down from winter haven and pick washtubs of oysters off the pilings.  the best oysters i have ever tasted.

i wonder if the old railroad pilings are still there.  if they are, maybe the oysters are too.

i just checked google earth.  it looks like the remains of the railroad are still there.  just to the north/west of the highway bridge.

It is a shame that FloridaGold is no longer with us to welcome you.
I have an unnamed OASIS visitor as we speak , & aufever is more or less mid-way on a line from Venice to the Daytona area where I am . We’ll have to talk Treefrog to come down from the panhandle to a welcoming party , and there is another indivdual close to Orlando , who does not post often . Name slips my mind for the moment .

Just saw your post. So, it sounds like the LME closing is a nothing burger. LBMA will still be providing cover for the crimex?

Anyhoo, no clue now how far we fall. Maybe $1780 may hold for a bit, but the carnage is ugly in this little sector and now littered with some shares – mostly small caps that are making new 52 week lows. How is that even possible with gold above $1800?

BTW – Target is getting crushed after a poor earnings report. Down 25% or so. Walmart had an earnings miss as well. Costco bucked the trend and rallied. I’ve never really seen a 25% drop in any of the S & P 500 companies. Might just be the beginning.
