It appears quite evident that’s what it’s about. Also add supply issues and parts. If it’s happening to cars and trucks who deliver our food BTW it is probably happening to them too.
At least they were honest about it. If your good with computers you might be a blade to work out a different flight like some did at the airport
I think they were playing a game here blaming it on maintenance problems maybe to get out of compensating the clients.
When I got stuck in Sacramento all night they said anyone who lives in this city even in the middle of the night isn’t going to be given a hotel for the night. You can pay your own way home or drag someone out of bed at 2 or 3 am when they finally got your new schedule then go through security again.
If you tried to call to do it like I did they put you on hold or hang up if you call them. Plus tell you that they don’t have to reimburse you if they “ delay” a flight and you choose another airline.
I found it says right on their rules if a flight is delayed over 4 hours they have to reimburse you.
Going back again maintenance issues coupled by another hour that they were supposedly supposed to wait for them to log it. Okay you did a job you write it down, why did it take another hour for that only to hear the pilot is now on overtime? They did it twice both ways.
That led me to suspect they’re playing games over a pilot shortage. The pilot only has so many hours they can fly and suspect they didn’t have one for that flight.
Ps either that or they have a lot of incompetent people now working at the airport.
