I noticed some correlation in inflation when things started going digital. The ATM cards vs cash. They could now see where your money is going and what your using it on.
Then I could imagine they could then narrow down your basic needs and take the rest,
I got a message from my bank before they stopped a payment suspecting someone got access to my card based on my buying pattens and where I was at the time. To check my transaction history.
In that case it was a good thing because someone was using the numbers on my card.
