Tks for that post…most informative.
A while back I read that palaeontological studies had clearly shown that Co2 levels lagged temperature change by @ 6 to 8 hundred years….ergo Co2 cannot be a forcing agent.
Needless to say it was not followed up, indeed Palaeontologists, complain vociferously that all their work is completely ignored by so called climate scientists…..because it makes a complete mockery of them.
Over here there is a growing realisation that the cost of Net Zero, is simply unafordable. We are supposed to be making all our houses ready for Net Zero….well my house is 5 hundred years old, with walls near 4 foot thick, it was built to breath, ie the last thing it needs is to be air tight, it would literally start falling apart, if it cannot breath, as the plaster holding the stones would disintegrate.
I would need to strip out the entire central heating system and put a new one in, thus a total redecoration, replace every window and door, insulate the loft space. then I have to create false cavity walls, thus making all my rooms smaller or on the outside…which means extending the roof…it would take months and the house would be uninhabitable, so I need a few months in a hotel/rental….the cost would be @ £100,000 or maybe way more…then I am supposed to buy two EV’s….again @ £ 100 K. so the thick end of a quarter of a million pounds for two people to be ready for Net Zero…and there are hundreds of thousands houses like this all over the UK……they are also the most sort after ones…..and none of this solves the breathing problem.
