The resulting higher prices would cause millions of factory start ups here that can do it cheaper. A hundred million jobs easy. Buying imported products was rat poison for the USA. The proof of that is all obvious these days.
Did you listen to the Biden speech in Arabia? My impression after seeing our oil shut down creates wealth opportunity for Arabia, then they buy defense weapons from us.
Sounds good at first, but people buying gasoline are subsidizing or welfare for the USA defense industry jobs in a roundabout way. The whole global and domestic system is full of welfare.
