What ever her dealings with the group of lawyers with her likeky won’t be good for manufacturing here. I’m sure she was behind by using Biden the stopping of senators investing in Chinese stocks and lightening the tariffs Trump put in place to protect solar manufacturing in the US.
If she does anything it’s likely to line her own bottomless pockets or that of her husband and undermine the American economy as usual.

She is trying to save the democrats from certain defeat..How?  She is running for President,so if she goes to Taiwan in defiance of the CCP threats and they back down and she meets with the Taiwanese .Then she LOOKS like a strong leader and thats the Democrats playbook isnt it..Its all about LOOKS ,does she look strong ? Then they have to remove Harris somehow ,so Nancy can pull it off ….She will look like a strong leader,she can claim she knows diplomacy because of a successful trip to Asia and a backing down of CCP leader . Kamala is in her way and Nancy will throw her under the bus in order to save the Democrats ..Shes clever,ruthless bitch…and she just might pull it off….Thats why shes there,shes got to look strong and very visable in Taiwan.  She might even get the Chinese to back off by explaining to them,they have to help her look good or they might have to deal with Trump instead.Shes very political astute,been that her whole life since family was big in Baltimore politics.Then if she wins ,she owes the Chinese a favor which will have to be paid when the Chinese demand some concession from her..

When you look for a new doctor check reviews. If you see a pattern on something , or something that would concern you it probably wouldn’t be any different for you. Someone would say if they push the Covid jab ditch them but so many being pushed into corporate for profit now the ones with actual doctoring ahd ethics in that do no harm there hard to find so just everything else I guess.

I don’t know bout stove pipes but probably a good idea to have it cleaned. With regular fireplaces be that or other resins like pine you just run it hot once in awhile and burn it off. I got access to oak with gets hot which is easier than cleaning it and if it runs hot for a few minutes it comes out really clean like new.
I thought about that though when I almost got rid of my house but rented it instead if I should block the fireplace for that reason.

What you said is true, but on the other hand, their exports will look and be cheaper in the USA and increase sales? Money into the country. Also it stops them from spending or wasting money on vacations to the USA. Too expensive exchange rate. Keeps money in their country.

About 50 years ago I began my career at a remote research facility surrounded by hundreds of miles of spruce forests . My ‘tech’ was from the big city , brought his girlfriend to live with him in a rented bungalow and set up housekeeping . To save money they bought a wood stove and fuelled it with spruce gathered from the surrounding woods . Several times he was warned by old-timers about the dangers of a creosote chimney fire unless they used a mix of hardwoods along with the resin-filled spruce or added a compound to the firebox which helped to reduce the buildup of tars . One morning after a particularly cold night they built a roaring fire in the kitchen stove to warm the place up quickly before leaving for work . As they sat having breakfast , they heard a new sound – a roar from the metal stovepipe leading through the kitchen wall to the outside . Attempts to control the draft damper were unsuccessful and the stovepipe began to turn cherry red , then orange , yellow and finally almost white hot as the pitch of the roar increased in volume . Fortunately , the hole surrounding the stovepipe was large and metal collars had been intalled inside and out to keep the stovepipe centered in the hole . ( The house was wood frame contruction and if that wall had caught fire , would have gone up in minutes ). There was a lot of sweating in that little kitchen for the next while as the creosote was burned off and finally burned itself out .

That’s an interesting point and I know you’ve held this belief for quite some time. No doubt this stronger dollar against the other fiat currencies is hurting and the inflation overseas is greater than the US. Those countries tied to the index are really getting hit.

The USD could have a long way to fall, especially when the Fed does the pivot, and probably will start to fall in advance.

Got the biggest electric bill ever !considering my AC has been out of commission for two weeks maybe it was a blessing ..

Been trying to get American Home Shield to fix it..had them out here three times  ..first they said it was blown fuses,second time burnt capacitor ,third time today another burnt capacitor and each time I called they couldent get here without appointment which was always a week wait ..Almost all of July was wasted..I had to buy a window unit so I could at least sleep during 95 degree days ..almost every day ! Wish me luck ..its back on line today !

Then my mail box fell apart..on a wooden pole buried two feet i the ground .it rotted out one foot down and left 1 more foot at the bottom that I couldent dig out ..What a mess and its been raining .the mailman sticks it in the Box laying on the ground ..I try to get mail out before it gets too wet…Geez…Then I had to get a different DR. for me and wife since he decided to retire after the group he was in said he wasent working enough hours to suit them.. he being 70 years old…Its always about the money  ..We both 84 years old and needing to find another DR..Gotta keep on truckin..

Years ago somebody planted forests of these genetically modified Eucalyptus trees.  Instead of the usual tangle of random branches, these things grow as tall poles with very few and tiny branches.  They were intended for firewood, and at one time the plan was to sell them to Japan.  That mega deal fell thru, apparently, and now a private energy company is struggling to get approval for building a woodburning plant near the source forests.  So yes, the plant is designed to handle the high oily resins.  I love the smell of Eucalyptus, too.  Eucalyptus oil is an antiseptic, too.

So if the Fed or Gov’t wants the Dollar up, (or gold down) they just send an email or text to Goldman Sachs or JP Morgan to make a big fake buy or sell order.
