Loading ...My Grand Parents also came here from ITALY in 1906 ,landed on Ellis Island promptly found a job as a crane operator loading lumber from trains to trucks ,a job he held for 40 years .Never collected unemployment or any other type of assistance ..had 12 kids along the way . All you needed was a sponsor to get here,that is someone who would support you if need be .There was no Government hand outs.He was successful ,his kids all found work and none got in trouble with the Law .
