Agree, not 10 baggers but they could do maybe a 50% run. They are not near their 52 week highs. I’m not seeing a lot of risk, and they look like they are ready to run. I’m about to find out.

Those are real solid companies and divvys too! They won’t go up 10 times but you won’t be turning your dollars into nickels like I have done too many times!

I still think money gets attracted to real goods at some point in the near future if nothing else as a hedge against inflation caused by the falling dollar.

Totally agree with the above….and that bit about the amount of copper required etc…the Adens are long Copper and like it’s recent action…saying if it can get above 4.30 then it is v strong.

maybe there’s something to what Kenya’s President said. Maybe stuff unravels overnight instead of a long drawn out decline.

Given that we (speaking for myself) think the USD has started a new downtrend, emerging market stocks should outperform, if nothing else on the exchange rate.

Using a tool from TD, I’ve found some juicy looking companies overseas. Few examples, and there are more

Anglo-American – 8.55 PE, 6.29% dividend

Glencore – 4.28 PE, 10% dividend

Norsk Hydro – 5 PE, 9.41% dividend

Vale – 4.26 PE, 7.13% dividend

Not sure I want to be in Brazil with Vale, but the others look OK to me, maybe Anglo is iffy because of Africa. The charts look good to me, like they are just turning higher. All were up today. All large caps, I just don’t have the resources anymore to gamble on some of these juniors so I’m going to pick some of these shares up. If the dollar collapses, they’ll go to infinity!! 🙂

We won’t get anywhere near net zero. The point there was that 700M tons of copper has been mined in the whole of history and it would require 1.4 Billion to accomplish it. So even if they got it to the 30% mark it would still be a helluva lot of copper, and then a slew of rare earths which we don’t mine in the U.S.

What worries me a little about them is why the mkt is pricing them so badly, is the mkt saying Net Zero will be abandoned..it may be ..as it is actually impossible ….as to achieve it u basically have to go all electric and to do that even if u can generate enough..we can’t in the time…u have to rewire the entire country, which includes every house and building as the existing grids just can’t shift enough, without literally melting the Grid……and no country has even started on it , or even costed it…..or got the money to pay for it.

EG I was told by a mate in the building biz, that at a new housing development, they wanted to wire it up for EV’s , so they asked the supplier how much..to which they replied…u don’t want to know, as to do it we will have to rewire back to a major substation, miles away and u will have to pay for it….

Another mate who ran major building projects, he built the London Shard, said very much the same thing….the whole country needs rewiring.

The more I think about it, most of the stocks in the indexes have been 10 baggers in the last 20 years, some more. Even non-tech, LuLu Lemon is $360 fer Pete’s sake.

Mining has been one of the only sectors that has not participated in the liquidity (inflation) trade since 2009. We have stocks that are lower now than they were in 2002 in pm’s. Even the blue chip miners like RIO and BHP haven’t seen the big run up.

Maybe things are about to change as demand for natural resources explodes and real commodities act as anchors for currencies. Maybe now is the time that some of the old school industries like mining becomes in high demand.

I suspect our USD that has given us such prestige and wealth around the world, but also has reaped destruction in the form of endless wars, sanctions that starve the innocents, and banks that stealth the wealth and resources of sovereign nations, is about to turn its’ fangs on its creators.

if the dollar fails, it may take many other currencies down with it.  many national central banks hold massive amounts of dollars.  in many cases, dollars are their principal reserves.  if the buck takes a flop, the buck will probably not stop there.  we live in interesting times.

Years ago when I was 20 finishing nursing school while walking home from a near by friends I was jumped by 5 guys in a attempted rape. A little back ground, grew up around military survivalist and special forces.
In short two ran off the other three laid unconscious on the ground.
It got around unbelievably fast. People were coming from all over and some I didn’t know, big scary looking dudes with knives saying they were gonna F them up,
Well I told them I’m okay just a fight they lost. Satire it could only happen to me. I did have a lot of bruises that to be expected including legs from blocking kicks I had to cover because it upset people,
I told them all I could take care of myself. That’s when I learned about these types. I was wrong not to let them cuz i didn’t want to see anyone go to jail not thinking many of them were smarter than that. They may have been afraid to bother me again because of death threats but a while after that they struck again and broke into a woman’s home beating her up and her 4 yr old son trying to protect his mother and both were hospitalized.
I felt terrible mixed between having the opportunity to kill them or let these bad ass guys that scared me more than they did if I didn’t know them probably friend of ones I did have them even when I was told it wasn’t my fault it was there’s. That time they got them. Amazingly the instigator didn’t die but he was castrated so probably worse than death to him,
How many victims will it take, Previous victims are already coming out now?
They won’t stop until their stopped. People don’t need to put up with their BS.
