They must have a shitload of energy in reserves …it makes more sense for them to store excess paper money reserves in the form of physical reserves ,but this suggests their economy is cratering and physical energy needs have collapsed and they need more economic stimulus ,in other words some inflation !!!! to keep 1.2 billion employed ! Thats a bigger threat to the CCP than the energy needs ..Political needs come first and that s where Chinas weakness is ! Political control comes first ….Higher unemployment will kill the communist party.
