That’s another thing. California got too expensive with all the people from all over the world liking in border states or countries would come to work and go back home. New strategy
Even Americans were doing it. As the dollar exchange got wider Mexico increase the amount of money you had to make to become a permanent resident.
Also Americans didn’t know you could haggle and negotiate prices even for rentals. That caused prices to go go up which the Locals didn’t like understandably. Not just Mexico but other country’s people retire for a fraction on what it cost here and live well.
Now if the dollar starts to drop depending on how much that is going to be a hardship to a nightmare for a lot of expats. Coming back to inflation here isn’t going to help them either.

If Mexico took it back if it weren’t for the drug cartels it would probably be better off. Plus less fast food more real food so they’d be healthier and more family orientated not anti family.
There were Mexicans years ago now, 2000 coming here to work. They’d work about 3-4 months or doing as many days as they could or double shifts through registry’s then go to Texas or Mexico and could live on what they earned here.
Then this registry got greedy. I knew a nurse at a rehab who told me one came on the floor asking a lot of questions and said I’m not even a real nurse I don’t know what I’m doing. Anyway the originator of the registry got investigated. There were two of them. One not taking out taxes.
I happened to be working at the jail that night, not my regular nursing job just on call because I was buying a house. I heard, hey the news are here, the one hiring non nurses she’d been arrested and was down stairs in intake. The other one destroyed her computers and took off then real nurses who worked shifts didn’t get paid. Luckily they didn’t kill anybody.
Ps I’m not sure if the one arrested was Mexican or not like the other but foreign. I didn’t see her cuz I was in my own room doing wound care and inmates were coming to me. The only time alone with inmate except they left the door open
Point is that what they do.
I don’t know if CA. will be a part of the US in twenty years. I could see them being reclaimed by Mexico if war were to do a lot of damage here in the US or we were to break into civil war.
A lot of folks who are moving to Mexico from CA. might end up being better off.

Yeah I know. Where I’m at they’re holding out pretty well. I helped years ago by warning them. They take over no matter the country by getting into management of companies then start squeezing Americans out and calling up their country and telling them to come over. Is one if the ways. Not just south of the border. In southern cal they’d get into management in apt buildings doing the same. Keep them out of management. Asians, Philippines Latinos even some blacks all do it.
Like my Japanese American friend was shocked to see so many Chinese is dithers Cal.
On the other end like my daughter in law American Indian Hispanic and white has been verbally attacked by a few White guys that don’t want illegals here and mistakes her for one. Both Indian and Hispanic side were here before it was California. She her self calls the illegals wet back after they stole her bike.
I also warned my Japanese friend not to be mistaken for Chinese around blacks so best to draw away. Then she tells me her daughter who’s half white was robbed by one.
We need to get back voter ID for one.
In farther northern Cal cartel is growing pot stealing peoples water and polluting it and the ground using banned toxic chemical on the plants in the woods or where ever they’re growing them.

The New York Times followed up with a second article that discussed several other cases of ITP following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination (Grady, 2021), and several other incidences of precipitous drop of platelets and thrombocytopenia following SARS- CoV-2 vaccination have been reported in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).
