Unless you like wet frozen hands and feet from working in snowmelt water straight off the Sierras there are probably more enjoyable and profitable ways to accumulate gold. ;o)

Some things not computing. Rates down, dollar up. Silver down 2%, Gold up a couple bucks. Underlying stocks, mostly small and mid cap miners taking the brunt of the hit, silver shares my worst performers.

So, are the industrial metals about to correct? Silver too?

The USD makes zero sense today.

Housing numbers must have been weak, so we got a little boost.

The shares seem to be holding up pretty well, considering the beating in silver. But that might change as the day goes on

Commodities across the board have gotten weaker with the industrial metals getting hit the hardest. Gold the exception, but only up a buck. Silver down .80%.

SM futures getting weaker. Oil down $.40. Lumber falling precipitously, aluminum and copper also taking it on the chin. Seems like a slowing economic trade.

The USD is barely up, more like flat. Rates continue to be under pressure, so the action in pm’s is a little counterintuitive. Still 4 hours from the open, and there is some housing data coming out this am.
