Rates and the USD have come back to become some headwinds today.

No real surprise as we’ve been overbought and gold has been correcting the last few days. I guess we just need to figure out how much we correct. Hopefully short and sharp.

Not sure I expected that, up $.06 now. It doesn’t look like we’re going to get a big post jobs report selloff today, but there is a lot of time in the day, and Crimex is on deck.

Shares aren’t really tipping their hands as how the day will go, as they are pretty flat.

Bitcoin gaining steam, now up

It appears we avoided a waterfall decline in the over nights – so far at least. We were down about $20 earlier, now down $10, silver down $.10, was down $.25 or so.

USD is down a little but mostly flat. 10 yr. is down a couple bips to 3.36%. Not headwinds just yet.

Bitcoin up a couple hundy’s, oil up $.20, SM flat. Soft commodities are almost all up.

Metals steadily coming back, now down $8 and $.05 respectively.

I don’t know who he is but he knows what he’s talking about. He’s not a goldbug I don’t think but he is all in gold as a defensive strategy in the coming recession because at some point they’re going to have to pivot. His is defense only Bonds and gold maybe Yen if they raise interest rates, but they’re in a whole lot of trouble too with inflation and what they would cause if they did he didn’t mention.

My experience with Dolly Varden started years and years ago. I bought them and they were supposed to have 50 million ounces of silver. They did some further investigation and oops they only had 10 million ounces! SP sank like a stone and stayed there for a long time until they finally started crawling back. Look at them now! The junior that comes back like that is a rarity. I should know!

Hopefully the longs are going to stay strong and put up a battle on the Crimex or take delivery. I’d like to see us stay overbought for a few months. 🙂
