Was up in the midwest for a family reunion before my older siblings begin dying off.  Haven’t seen them for 24 years.  Whole generation of great grand nephews and nieces that I’ve never met.  A couple of them share my name.  They only know me by the legends their families tell of me.  🙂   A good time was had by all.  Probably the last time I’ll see them.  I told them I’m not coming back for funerals!

Travel was brutal on this old body, and I remember why I was reluctant to go all these years.  I masked on the plane.. no one else did.  I Cringed at every  cough and sneeze.  Took an Ivermectin before each airline trip, and managed to not get sick!  Coming back was the pits.  I couldn’t sleep the night before leaving, and the westbound trip took longer with a layover, and the transpacific leg is an hour longer due to headwinds.  By the time I collapsed at home I had been awake for 45 hours.   A new zombie record for me.  I once worked for 36 hours, but this was worse.

The air always smells warm and wonderful when I get off the plane in the islands.

I just saw the word “reversal” and wondered which way. I think you answered that question at 22:20.  I am no chartist by any means, but through the years I have been exposed enough to understand basics when I look at one. But I haven’t tried to read or understand them in quite a while.  I was just being lazy and wanted a quick answer.  But since I’ve opened the subject, if I were to look at the chart at 14:03, what I see is a level, choppy action in the midst of some downward movement, with the likelihood of more downward movement, as seen in the top portion. And if I look at the bottom of the chart, I see recent downward movement in the up channel illustrated, movement that threatens to break below support.  A reversal of that trend would be upward, would it not?  Hence, my confusion.

There would be no point in putting the genie back in even were it possible.

We need inflation to outrun interest for a long time because of the debt burden.

Anyway just a thought, in trying to solve the mystery imo of fed actions.

A very bad mistake I think … will they be able to put the genie back in the bottle? … and Washington is still spending with no restraint! In the long run it’s probably a done deal. Our debt will crush us and then be repudiated at some point. JMO

Anyway, perhaps the rising interest rates serve two purposes.  Defend the dollar and also abate the u.s. debt by keeping the interest rate below rate of inflation thus in effect lowering the debt.

Le Mans was great….a darn good race, with real doubt about the winner, until the last hour or less…even then the winning Ferrari, failed to start for about a minute on it’s last stop !!!!!

Some times especially with Jrs or minors it will play real dirty and drop below support.

Juneteenth a black holiday based on wrong information from what I heard. They’re also trying to say Cleopatra was black now. There’s pictures on coins all over and records of her family. She wasn’t black. Kinda sad cuz it looks like a self esteem  thing to break out of a stereotype even though much of the actions today on the left are that stereotype,   so I just leave it alone.

That was a long one on silver. Generally they do that before a move up to take out the stops. But still hasn’t broke out. Least it doesn’t cost buy and sell less you put automatics instead of manually depending on broker. I sold my Dow long  two days ago but was thinking about buying couple of Dow stocks yesterday but waiting now and one more gold stops only manual and one hedge and will see where it heads.

Yeah that was strange. Normally unless at the top that would make a bullish candle with a pretty good tail down instead of a shooting candle at the top but going that low and up it conveniently stopped at resistance on gold. Now Roberts more bullish today and bought  some GGN  on the pullback and I’m suspicious.
Dow running out of steam today and the QQQ was headed down.
