Bills, that is crazy! Medical and hospital bills have been out of control rising for years with no over-site. When they corporatized it for profit it got worse and then went after private doctors to eliminate their competition. Then you see what some of them did with Covid and there still selling that clot shot and going after children. Same as politics where the ones supposed to be protecting the public are now compromised.
That’s another reason I refused all those tests. To leave money in the pot for those that need them. With what you told me about price the CT scan which was one of them my bill was gonna be sky high. Years back some how I managed to get a severe lung infection plus severe bronchitis plus the found two nodules in my lungs about the same time as Ruth Ginsburg. . That CT scan was hell because I was so sick couldn’t breath very well laying down so finally had to yell at her to quit dragging her feet and hurry up or I’m gonna get out. Oh no you’ll fall she said. Better than dead. What if someone can hold their breath that long?

Anyways I had to have a follow up and I got rid of the nodules. So why donI need one now? Except I haven’t quit smoking which gave my doctor a confused look when test was clear thinking I did. Thinking about pensions. Aren’t most pensions supposed to hold a certain % of US Gov’t bonds? Isn’t that partly how they keep the charade going? Now, the SM is correcting, I suspect tech is falling apart finally. Maybe not today, but it’s here to stay.

Yeah, same here. Oil is going to re-crush the economy and give us some good inflation. I doubt it will show up in the CPI today, because they need inflation to look tame. Energy drives prices of everything.

I suppose the one saving grace is that demand is falling through the floor for everything we don’t need.

Quick story. I went to the ER here in Sarasota with a stomach issue. Had an xray and CT scan. Was there for maybe two hours. The VA takes care of my medical and sends me the bill and what they paid the hospital. The hospital charged $18,000 for that visit. $8K just for the CT scan.

Of the $18K, the VA paid them about a $1K – what it was really worth. Had it been me paying, they would have told me to pay the whole amount. That is just outrageous.
