Loading ...Good on Hyundai! I had a similar experience with a used Saturn Vue I bought. New fangled CVV continuously variable transmission was warranteed for 50k miles. At 43kmiles mine began to slip & slide. Although I was not the original owner, the Saturn service manager replaced it for free. Saturn was going under and he knew it, and knew the transmission was a bad design. Months later, Saturn was extinct.
I kept this in mind as I owned the car. I got a little more than another 50k miles out of the car when the second transmission went catastrophic fail. I didn’t even hesitate… I just ‘junked’ the car and had it towed to the scrap yard.
