Yes there’s a lot to consider in a bad situation. I know back when I was in a quake and just a teen but able to multitask I could move pretty fast fast from one place to another to help and could see how fast looting, panic and unrest can break out.
Basically soon as the quake stops shaking, just that fast secure your perimeter but get out at first till you know it won’t collapse,
if able cuz in quakes windows break , doors break, walls collapse immediately. You will be distracted by any injured or trapped too.
First and immediately any local opportunists, then before main roads are blocked less you live there they could be coming from anywhere.
Would be good if you have good neighbors and have blockades or your own neighborhood watch scenario.
If not you have to think about what you would do or where you’d go.
Last thing you need while stores and even homes could be invaded if trying to shelter in place they come for your guns, worst case scenario defenses.
That’s why women really need to learn and practice how to use a gun, Not just for themselves because if really bad like look what happened in Israel, they went after the men first and killed them and could underestimate the woman at first in
Closer range to her advantage and take them out about just as fast.
But not if they called martial law because that would just make it worse for everyone but the looters and criminals which now know or think everyones unarmed.
That’s why I was bugging Buygold to get out when they said the surge could be so high plus possibility of martial law. Best to just not be there. People who lived there all their life some might not move out of its path because they hear it a lot then doesn’t happen they way they said or it moved it’s path plus they know what to expect and pretty much prepared if far enough back.
Also get a expandable at least class three” for rivers” and life jackets and don’t think matcho you don’t need one boat if you don’t. Flesh eating bacteria and other bad stuff will be in it. I had to help two macho guys when younger who were drunk no life jacket and get them on a boat then direct it out pull myself in and get them out of there. They were grown men one a veteran who’s mother angry at her son I was brave for helping those drunks lol Forget that matcho stuff. Currents are faster and stronger. Who knows what it can slam you into or trap you against i. a current. Not to
mention hurricanes flying stuff around at you or knocking things down and you can’t maneuver too fast away from it In the water
Be a hurricane or a bad quake or who knows with the derelict flunky we’re have in homeland security but in natural disasters it’s not just surviving through the event. It doesn’t stop there, it’s surviving after it. Are you up to not just surviving through it but after. Do you have a water filter. A way to get out of flooded? Katrina they had nothing. No shelter, shade from the sun, no drinking water no food, no basic first aid no nada.
My concern with the ammo unlike my other ammo with guns registered but that one I found is okay as long as you only buy a certain amount. I don’t hunt big game don’t need that much food nor could store it and won’t kill just because but only in a bug out scenario. Besides if I give it to someone else for the same reason they can buy their own ammo lol They could use those shells for target practice.
