I think it had sort of been that way for a long time when they had to live together under British control, even Christians were treated decently during those times. God had to bring Israel to a nation though, otherwise he couldn’t complete the Covenant with Abraham, prophecy of the Torah, and then of Revelation and even Enoch, to usher in the millennium.
Unfortunately, a lot of pain for Israel and the world the closer we get to that point.
