It kinda reminds me of when I was about 16 and went out to run in a non human inhabited area along a river with a dam and mountains. The river was down but not enough.

There was a water lined tree with a branch strong enough for me to jump to and get across the river to the other side to go run the winding streets above it with virtually no traffic. When I got to the other side a motor cycle which a big heavy set guy drove up and he parked it off street and keeping my rule hopped back over to the other side of the river without him seeing while he was heading towards me to know how I got there. He still was making a bee line towards me so I climbed up a near by hill and just sat down and watched to see what he was gonna do. He was walking back and forth trying to figure out how to get to the other side of that river. The branch never crossed his mind but wouldn’t of held him anyways. He was there quite a while trying to figure it out and kept looking up at me getting more and more irritated. Finally he picked up this old dried out tree branch about 6-8 inches across and about 3 Ft long and started smashing it against a rock till it was in pieces. Then he looked up at me and put his hands to his sides and started yelling like the incredible hulk in a angry tone. I know if I laughed I’d just provoke him but was thinking what a psycho.
