That there will be believers and non believers even amongst families.
When he talked about turning the other cheek it was to say not to seek revenge and or violence over non life threatening things.
He did not promote violence but peace through wisdom not boastful pride.
That peace is something inside you, not of the ways or comforts of the world. Peace be with YOU.
God does not prohibit self defence or protecting yourself or the weak and innocent from the wicked. Psalms 82
