Starting to get some momo back after they just smacked us down a bit. NEM needs to lead. AEM is a given, GFI needs to play catch up, it’s been a drag on the indexes.

The PPI numbers really weren’t all that soft, more in-line with expectations. Nevertheless, the dollar is easing and rates turned down a bip.

Nice pop, now here they come. They’ll never let us just spiral up and out of control.

Silver is the key. Hopefully we can gain back the momentum today.

GDX is sure doing a lot of work around this downtrend area……which says it’s an important area……and that short term work says all recent action is impulsive….aka v bullish.

and again this action is confirming…..as I said take out the 40.00 level on GDX and we shud run hard…we shud run hard straight up and through it.

Plus rates look set to fall in a C wave/next leg down…before they turn and start riseing big time and become a huge problem…..though that may take longer as rates rose for near 4 yrs and have only consolidated for 1 year……so the consolidation/correction may take longer…..but sometime in the not too distant future rates become a horror story, to the indebted world.

Otherwise, everything is up at the moment. Dollar, rates, SM, oil, Bitcoin, etc.

Dollar not up much, neither are pm’s. I kinda have a good feeling about the action after the PPI comes out. Course, I’ve been unusually optimistic lately. Probably because I’m not knee deep in pm shares for the first time in a very long time and the metals have been unusually stable for the last few months. Hopefully silver will break free from the Crimex chains soon. If so, I suspect maddog’s chart will be a masterpiece.

But I digress….🙄

Is your GDX chart telling us that the large caps are on the precipice of a major, life altering, breakout?

If so, would make complete sense as to the pressure on NEM the last couple of days.

Note how we have backtested the major down trend line again seen on 1st monthly chart and stopped at @ 62 % of the last small up wave…. seen on 2nd chart…..make new Hi’s ie > 40.00 on GDX and the pm shares could be off and running.

Yes, all the photos of the Canadian I have seen are single track.  There are passing sidings along the way, of course, but it is manageable for dispatch and careful scheduling of trains and ‘meets’.  The single busiest mountain pass in the US is Tehachapi pass in southern California.  It connects the central valley to the Mojave desert and mainlines to LA and the BNSF mainline to the midwest.  The famous ‘Tehachapi Loop’ is on this line, for gaining elevation as it winds thru the mountain pass.  It was built by Southern Pacific, now owned by Union Pacific, and BNSF also has trackage rights on the line. It is single track thru many of the tunnels that could not be expanded, with many long passing sidings where there is room.  The line serves over 1,000 trains per month.   You can watch live train action on the line here:
