I’m not sure the real rally has even started yet. I look at NEM and it won’t even do average volume today. Some of these shares are up on heavier volume but it seems to be some of the smaller or mid cap silvers. AG, HL even GROY is up 12% on heavy volume. You know things are perking up when GROY is catching a bid. SLV has good volume, but GLD won’t even do average.

It just doesn’t seem to me that there’s a rush going on to get into the sector. Maybe because the SM is still doing well? Regardless, if we’re doing this well with such little interest, how much better will we do when US investors finally wake up?

Dollar coming back slightly, so they are chipping away at the metals this last hour.

Last read I think from Von Greyrerz was that it would take north of $30K an oz. to cover all the dollars floating around out there, so there’s that. It probably needs to be even higher. They might as well let the price go, we will either have to devalue the dollar or revalue gold at some point in the not-too-distant future.

Watching the Yen this am, up nearly 1% against the dollar. Looks like the dollar may start to resume its down trend. It broke below the 200 dma yesterday, and appears to be headed toward a “death cross” on the charts. At least I think that’s what it’s called.

Note how one of the major reasons given, is ever since Russian assets were seized, CB’s want out of the Dollar and into Gold….held in their vaults…….not sure how many dollars are hld offshore by CB’s…but I think it is a fair guess that we need another 1 or two noughts on the price to hoover a fraction of those dollars up.

No taxes on Overtime. My last few years I was pulling over 30 hours a week OT that mixed in double time. Before that at least 10 hours where at that time put myself on 4 days a week or would of been more. Maybe that will motivate the others to pull their weight instead of leave it on very a few of us.
