Loading ...Although it looks a little tentative for the metals, as they have drifted off the overnight highs. The dollar is moving slightly higher again, but the bigger news is the 10 yr. is up another 5 bips this am. I’d think that’s problematic for the Fed if they are serious about “saving” the economy. SM leaning lower. Oil popping almost 3% back toward $70
The real follow thru in the premarket is in the pm shares. They look very strong, led by the silvers and the small/mid caps. GDXJ is up 1.65%, JNUG is up almost 4% vs. GDX up 0.86%. Maybe it’s getting to be time for the little guys to step up.
Don’t know about all of you, and maybe it’s because I’ve endured a couple hurricanes inside a couple weeks, but life seems sort of surreal. It feels like we’re all sort of going through the motions while waiting for something even more surreal to happen. About a third of the people I encounter, who would likely be Harris voters, have lost their minds. They are angry and in a crazy hurry, the only thing that matters to them is their myopic little world and they can’t see anything outside of it, much less the truth of what’s happening around them. There’s another third that are kind and patient and trying to get back to some semblance of normality but are keenly aware that something is coming and are fatigued by the thought of it, just trying to roll with the punches. The last third is sort of directionless and in survival mode, neither angry or kind, getting up every day because the sun demands it, and trying to make it through another day because there’s no other alternative. Sort of zombiefied. Going about their daily tasks but with a sense of unease.
Maybe it’s just me.
Metals are starting to tick up while I’ve been posting and the SM is weakening.
