I knew about the USA was living off tariffs, and taxes on profits only. Thats why income taxes are not fair. Many people can’t afford to pay taxes. Income taxes should only be taxed on the amount OVER what it cost you to live, like a business. I took out a few parts to comment on.
#1 They raise the prices on imported items like clothing and groceries, placing a larger burden on lower-income Americans who spend a bigger percentage of their income on those goods.
Re #1: If imported goods get very expensive, it would create opportunities for Americans to produce them locally cheaper higher more Americans and pay taxes on profits reselling to Americans. There will always be a tax on profits.
#2 Tariffs dwindled as a source of federal revenue while income taxes expanded. Today, tariffs make up just 2 percent of federal revenue, while income and payroll taxes make up about 94 percent.
Re #2 It makes sense that as tariffs were cut off big business taxed the employees incomes instead. Also My #1 response is the same. We have a very distorted economy with too many lower-income Americans because of the past.
#3 Mr. Trump said he would consider allowing police officers, firefighters and military service members to forgo paying taxes.
Re #3 I once made a post about that decades ago. I suggested that all tax absorber employees should NOT be taxed and credited for paying taxes, because they pay taxes to themselves or live off taxes. Just pay them less. Instead of overpaying them so their take home pay is still good.

Re #5 Similar to #4 the US farmers started a bad habit selling food overseas. There would naturally be pain at first, but afterword the Americans would be buying more American food. Even Henry Ford screwed up selling model Ts all over the world, obligating us to buy imported cars.

Former President Donald J. Trump has spent much of the presidential campaign brainstorming new, and sometimes untested, ways to cut taxes. In the election’s final stretch, he raised the possibility of going even further: eliminating income taxes entirely.
During a Fox News segment on Monday, Mr. Trump took questions at a barbershop in the Bronx. When asked if the United States could potentially end all federal taxation, Mr. Trump said the country could return to the economic policies in the late 19th century, when there was no federal income tax.
“It had all tariffs — it didn’t have an income tax,” Mr. Trump said. “Now we have income taxes, and we have people that are dying. They’re paying tax, and they don’t have the money to pay the tax.”
In June, Mr. Trump floated the idea of replacing federal revenue from income taxes with money received from tariffs. Mr. Trump has not provided specific details of how that would work, and it is unclear if he wants to eliminate all federal taxes, including corporate income taxes and payroll taxes, or only end the individual income tax.
“There is a way, if what I’m planning comes out,” Mr. Trump said of ending income taxes.
Replacing income taxes with tariffs would reverse the progressivity of the tax system in the United States. In general, income taxes are progressive, meaning that Americans with more income pay a higher tax rate. Tariffs, which impose a tax on products imported into the United States, are regressive. They raise the prices on imported items like clothing and groceries, placing a larger burden on lower-income Americans who spend a bigger percentage of their income on those goods.
Mr. Trump has denied that Americans pay the cost of tariffs. He argues that companies overseas bear the cost of tariffs on the products they ship to the United States. Economists largely debunk that argument — companies generally pass along those higher costs to consumers by raising prices.
Why does the United States have income taxes?
The United States put income taxes in place to achieve two main goals: raising taxes on the rich and paying for a larger federal government.
The country briefly had an income tax during the Civil War, but it was not until Mr. Trump’s favorite historical period — the late 19th century — that the idea gained ground again. Tariffs largely funded the federal government, but Democrats of that era wanted to collect more money from the wealthy by charging an income tax.
“There was a real concern about inequality, just as there is today, as there were great disparities in wealth and poverty in the Gilded Age and so the income tax was seen as a necessary leveler by its proponents,” said Steven R. Weisman, the author of a book on the history of the income tax in the United States.

I’ve heard they do not distinguish one from the other…so I’d guess that chances are slim or none that she didn’t get tainted blood. When collecting blood it all goes into the same storage and is mixed together. My advice is ASAP get her on both Nicotine patch and Ivermectin protocols to stop the spike protein before it spreads more than it already has. She’s still in my prayers!

But in the end there’s a risk of a whole market overturn. Mike Pinto made me laugh when he said if there’s anything that can take years off your life it’s the junior miners.

I hope so too many crazy drivers and now over worked stressed out from inflation tired drivers too because of these idiots in office always putting them last and illegally no less.. Being a mom I know that feeling lol but still not the same thing but can double it down.
My daughter is being a pain in the arse for the nurses calling them in every five minutes to adjust her broken limbs because the bed moves to prevent pressure sores. In the process it moves her limbs and the pain comes back. After surgery the nurses put the phone to her ear as both arms to hands wrapped up in hopes I could keep her calm. She could t understand still being out of it why she could t drink water yet so it was water pain water pain every five minutes or less. I felt bad for the nurses and hard on me too. I felt like the priest in the room in the movie the Exorcist. She never had any server pain or any pain other than one mild injury playing and even had to put her in martial arts because she wouldn’t defend herself either and did well offered job as a teen for helping teaching firms to learn from a grand master for free but wasn’t interested in fighting although she won all the golds while there so doesn’t have a high pain tolerance. He said don’t feel bad even his own son wasn’t interested these days he he came from the old country of martial arts. I’m glad I have the easy part watching the kids but I noticed their not floating her heals which could lead to real trouble with deep tissue damage and a bad pressure sore so they have to watch that.
I hope you stick to your rules and don’t bend them or they’ll bend you with maybe it will go higher, maybe it will stop going lower. Don’t bend the rules. If you can do that you’ll be okay.

I kind of swore off doing anything with the shares anymore, I pretty much just have the metals. I took a shot at 100 shares. Two bucks either way and I’m done. A 14% loss for a miss of $.05 or 7% seems pretty outrageous to me. This is someone taking advantage as Maddog mentioned. It will be very short term IMHO.
I think we’ll see short covering across the sector into the close unless the metals tank. I suspect if they could have waterfalled silver, they’d already have done it, they aren’t shy about beating us down. Rates are starting to slip, so is the dollar. It’s time for a correction in those markets as well.
Never know though. I don’t, that’s for sure.

The shares have always tracked silver much better than they have gold and they’ve got silver pinned down today. Did you notice though how they tried to tie every other pm stock to NEM’s earnings? AEM got popped, now coming back, same with some others. GOLD is the one they love to pound when NEM is struggling as well. I think they had it down 4% at one point. Shares are all coming back though, except NEM. A couple are positive now. They want GDX and the HUI to look weak. I’d bet we’ll get some short covering at the end of the day.
If you look at NEM $3.25 in earnings, puts them at a 15 PE, but that’s based on $2500 gold, not $2700, and gold is going up, not to mention whatever silver they drag out of the ground. Hard to see a lot of risk there unless the gold price craters. with a forward PE of 13.75 – conservative estimate at $2700 gold. Analysts have price targets from $53 to $66. That seems light.
I’m not holding it anyway, but you’re right, the shares haven’t come close to catching up with the metals.
Dollar weakening a little now, but the BRICS are saying they are not trying to “defeat” the dollar. They will though by default. Japan exports of cars to Russia are soaring. Hard to think the Japanese are going to force the BRICS to buy dollars to purchase their cars. That’d would be stupid on their part.
