The 2yr and 10yr British Gilts yields are exploding today. Britain’s financing needs (compared to their earlier forecasts) are exploding higher. And our 10 yr yield popped up to 4.33% this morning and is now easing off…..

Taliban bans women from hearing voices of other women:

The Taliban has passed a measure banning women from being heard by other women in public, in the latest curb on human rights since the Biden administration withdrew U.S. forces from Afghanistan three years ago.

The Telegraph reports that Taliban official Khalid Hanafi announced the new measure, the specifics of which remain unclear.

“Even when an adult female prays and another female passes by, she must not pray loudly enough for them to hear,” stated Hanafi, according to The Telegraph.

Dollar is weaker though, so I’m wondering if rates won’t start to slide?

320 HUI was my target for a pullback. I guess we’ll get there soon and maybe well below that if we start to really correct. That’s a shame how poorly the shares have been treated during this great bull move. Even AEM with great earnings is down 2% when they should be rewarded.

Something bad is happening with bonds. QE is coming sooner rather than later if they want to save the system.

Jobless claims, PCE’s, Employment cost index.

Jobless claims were better than expected – no surprise, PCE’s showed numbers mostly in line, but inflation slightly hotter than expected, Employment Cost Index showed inflation lower than expected.

I’d think that would be dollar bullish and bond bearish, but that’s not the case at the moment as the dollar is down and rates flat. Although it looks like they’re starting to tick up.  PM’s of course are down, because why would they go up with the dollar down? Simple answer is that the SM is still weak.

I don’t have a good feeling about today. Hope it’s just me.

Looking across the markets the only thing higher I can see is oil, up almost 1%. SM, PM’s down, PM shares down again (except AEM), Bitcoin is flat. Bonds and dollar are flat. Rates were up earlier to 4.3% but they’ve eased to 4.28%. Dollar dancing around the flatline, was down 1% against the Yen of all things in the overnights but has rallied back.

Silver continues down from yesterday another 1%, gold giving back $10. Maybe we’ll spend the day recovering, although that’s never a good bet with the SM down. QQQ’s down 1%, DOW down 1/2%.

So, on this Halloween before what may be the last election in US history, does something wicked approach? I’ve seen predictions of such all over YouTube, but predictions come and go. The demons in charge are on their heels and backed into a corner, they are losing the battle here in the states, I think that probably makes them desperate and dangerous. Reports they’re already working the cheat, notably in Pa. and Co. An ABC affiliate in PA flashed a completed vote count during the Mexico Grand Prix showing Harris winning Pa. by 5%. They said it was accidental. Police in Pa. blocked early voting lines at the request of the governor Shapiro – he was overturned by a judge. Lines were huge and they were Trump voters. These people have no souls, they are demonic and will do anything to keep power. They think nothing of human life other than their own, so keep your heads on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings. These are very dangerous times for the country.

BTW – the man who reportedly attacked Paul Pelosi was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Imagine being him, a drug addicted, mentally ill bisexual, who was lured into this man’s house with the promise of payment and drugs for having sex with Paul Pelosi. When police arrive, Pelosi tells them that things are OK. Now, this guy’s life is over, and you can bet Nancy Pelosi had everything to do with his sentencing. She is capable of anything. Look at what she has done to the Jan. 6th people without due process.

His drones are undoubtedly being used over there in Ukraine, and if not I still think his drones are the best. It’s already a done deal. Tanks are completely over, just like that. Boom. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place for all these buyers…maybe they are all at Costco !!!!!!

It could take years to find out what side effects a new vaccine can cause and it’s not even a vaccine. It already has 9 pages of adverse effects. Back in the late 50 s my family was watching the side effects of polio vaccine and pulled the kids out from taking it as kids were coming down with it.  She was hopeful of a polio vax because while she was in Chicago as a kid although from Calif originally she caught and survived polio. Kicked it out of her system but was in braces for awhile. She wasn’t anti vax just not stupid and wasn’t going to subject her kids to a untested experiment. Then it was found to have a cancer causing agent later. Someone I know told me a kid in her neighborhood was vaccinated but spreading polio to non vaccinated. Luckily then we had a better FDA than now or another medication going around in Europe and Canada was causing children to be born without arms and legs. But a female head of FDA at the time did her homeworks and stopped it from being given here to pregnant woman. If we had the current FDA and CDC there would be a lot of legless and armless wonders around now. In addition they will use kids to fight wars that aren’t ours like they’re expendable also losing arms and legs.

Talked to a salesperson at Costco  (N. Calif.) regarding sales of PMs at Costco today.

She said they are they get an allocation each week and they are “gone in a flash”

She was young, but seemed knowledgeable and legitimately positive on PMs as an asset class – I was quite surprised.
