The Alex Neuman interview is excellent . He had to laugh as he flew in to (Kazan?) where COP29 was held . The city is surrounded by oil rigs ‘everywhere’ . Quite a contrast to the conference message .
He did notice that many global warming notables were absent this time . I guess we are nearing pitchfork , clubs and rocks time and they are getting nervous . There are millions of us for every one of them . Twenty years ago , I was a tall , lean , 230 lbs. Now I am around 150…last week 147 lb. but healthy for my age ( mid- 80’s). I have vivid memories of VJ day. The rejoicing of the end of WW II was spectacular , even in the remote farming area where I was at the time , visiting a relative , with my mother and my maternal grand mother , still spry , who was born in 1867 , the year of Canada’s Confederation .
