Loading ...Yes cold will kill. so will heat in other places. Cash, gold, even Bitcoin. Kinda off the subject but not. I just heard about a homeless guy in Idaho people knew, active once in the church, he wasn’t older and he wasn’t on drugs. His wife got cancer and was terminal but they still tried and held on as long as he could manage. He took care of her and was by her side the whole time and had to leave his job and bills piled up. After she died he lost his home and became homeless. He still volunteered for things like passing out Christmas presents for kids and participated in the church.
He was sleeping a camper next to a friend’s house and they found him frozen to death. It was nice people were buying him a lunch or breakfast once in awhile and spending time with him but I think what he really needed is spiritual help in the church and a reason to go on living he lost in the process. A new job and lots of support. They meant well but he lost his will to go on and really needed help and being on the giving side he wouldn’t be able to ask for maybe not want what he might think is a handout to have to make clear it wasn’t that and the bulk of it wouldn’t cost money. It’s too late now though.
