They used to train self defence. That one woman they taught and one rule was keeping your weapon on you at all times had it in her robe that was hanging over the shower. Some guy broke in, undressed headed for the shower and she was new at self defense and shot while he took off but missed but scared him enough to jump out the two story window naked and broke his foot and got caught.
