You make many very intelligent posts to this forum so you must have reasons why you believe GoldBacks are a viable alternative to, and replacement for the US Dollar.

Amals mentioned one of my greatest objections or criticisms to the GoldBack idea, and it was one that I previously mentioned that got scrubbed from the site twice when I published it. IMO silver in its many forms would be the most workable form of money for small to medium sized purchases when gold  is too large.

Unless I misunderstood what was said in that GoldBack presentation, they said they would take an ounce of gold, divide it into 1000 portions and place 1/1000 of that ounce of Gold in each $1 GoldBack to make 1000 $1 Goldbacks….and the same ratio for the $5 GoldBack.  Each $5 GoldBack would have 1/200 of an ounce of gold, and so on for GoldBacks of larger denominations….. and every GoldBack would have the amount of gold imbedded (printed) into it according to it’s face value, then it would be sealed in plastic to preserve each GoldBack.

IMO, this is equivalent to throwing gold to the wind, at least in those smaller denominations. I think it would not be possible to economically retrieve one thousandth  of an ounce of gold from a $1 Goldback, or any of the other smaller denomination, therefore whatever gold was in them would be, and already has been, lost and of no value since it cannot be recovered.

Anyway, just a piece of my 2 cents, and I have not accounted for the 100% (double the cost) premium you mentioned to buy these GoldBacks….I think a better bargain would be to just buy silver and gold phyz for close to spot, and have their full purchasing power to use…..BWTHDIK! You are both wrong. 200 million is only 0.01 % of 2 trillion
And one more thing, why would I spend 100% premium on goldbacks. When gold is going to go up I will get the same profit. And the market is going to take silver coins for sure.

RE: Pelosi

You are right in that the bone could have broken and THEN she fell.  That is exactly what happened to my mother.  Calcium poor diet.  She was standing in soft garden soil, talking to a neighbor.  She went to take a step and toppled over with a broken femur.  Fortunately landed in soft soil and the neighbor was there to call for help.  Orthos couldn’t patch the splintered bone so installed two brace rods from each end of the femur, and put her on calcium supplements for the rest of her years.

Word has it that Pelosi suffered a broken hip.  She will be bedridden for a LONG time, and lucky if she can tolerate a wheelchair later.  That is practically a death sentence for an elder with poor bones that does not heal well… as I’m sure you know.

Edit: Ah, now I read she had a hip joint replacement.  A bit less serious than a whole hip bone ‘cage’ break, which leaves internal organs unsupported.    We shall see.

Re: Difficult/hard times and buying groceries or other small items by having to use gold. Isn’t that where silver, especially junk silver, comes into play? Lesser valued and smaller denomination assets to purchase lower valued goods?

Pelosi, with her life long history of a sedentary life with little or no physical work isn’t going to skate with no work injury’s or wear and tear because it can get porous or empty spaces and weaken the bones especially after a certain age which can affect anyone but particularly the sedentary who haven’t developed strong bones. Then you might add alcohol. So it’s not known but possible that the bone could of broken first when walking then she fell. She was also seen holding on to other people before or needing help getting back up for the take a knee photo op stund which could either be Neuro or was already having trouble. She needs to retire.
