Military whistleblower risks it all to speak the truth. 7 minutes of courage where the truth is more important than his career

Be proud of this young man….and ashamed of those  who lacked the courage to do the same.

It’s hard to say because of their medical bills plus I already told them I didn’t need anything then so give it to my kids but still they have me on the trust. I didn’t ask her. I just want to help her right now.

goldielocks @ 19:33…Congratulations! I hope you get some good legal advice in how to best set up your estate for future heirs.

Posted by silverngold @ 19:58 on December 17, 2024

And my “HIGHER POWER”, that I always listen to, says “keep a low profile”.

EDIT: Make sure the legal advice comes from an expert who is experienced and licensed to give advice on your situation with it being in a trust. It is not a place to cut corners, but you should be able to get the history and reputation of whatever firm you are considering to handle the estate.

I mean paid from the estate. It’s in a trust not a will

Lol I figured you’d know where it was. Lol

If you know about selling do you know cuz Zi didn’t ask because I was just registering his death, a very nice man and glad his daughter was watching over him when he started going down hill and with it the house that was all kept up before. She might have it handled but said after mother died then him getting disabled he stopped taking care of the house. Is there anyways she can get money to prepare the estate for sale. Luckily on the ocean front they’re still seeing but prices have dropped. I’d rather see her pay someone than her and her husband have to do it all herself

I always use safe websites. Also have notifications on card use of I buy something but  should put the number lower and notifications if anyone’s trying to get a card in name or credit of any kind. I got a call today I’m going to inherit money along with siblings. I don’t know how much, it’s a multi million estate event though it’s lost almost 700 thousand since 2022 from my mother who passed away and step father just passed away. I told them level it to my kids but step sister told me the trust is still on my name. So I guess I’m going to have to be more careful soon.

goldielocks @ 18:04 Tornado in Scotts Valley???, Nope, must be Mother Nature hitting the sauce again. Act of God you know ;o)

Posted by silverngold @ 19:31 on December 17, 2024

Back about 1963 I almost sold a large ranch in Scotts Valley to a guy from Chandler Arizona. He flew his Cessna Skynight 6 passenger there, but it wasn’t what he was looking for. Too crowded around it. Eventually I did sell him a 1018 acre isolated beautiful valley ranch in Coalinga CA, surrounded by volcanic caprock with its own private airstrip. Again he flew in to that ranches’ private airstrip and signed the papers on the spot, subject to his partner’s approval. The Partner was a Doctor from Rolling Hills, CA. Memories, Memories! I can’t say I am short on life experiences, and they have almost all been Silver and Gold. ;o)

goldielocks @ 17:28 IMO Internet purchases are perfectly safe….until they’re not.

Posted by silverngold @ 18:56 on December 17, 2024

My Auntie Paranoia told me it was not a great idea to shop there, regardless of the bargain. Past experience has never lost me any money, but it has lost me a lot of time and sleep trying to straighten out what appeared to be intentional “mistakes” that never seemed to be in my favor. My wife, more of a gambler that I am, still makes an occasional internet bargain buy and we have to include it in our nightly prayers, hoping it will all end as we anticipated, with the account reduced by the correct amount and the merchandise delivered with no damage in a timely fashion. We’ve had a few things where we forgot to make sure we were on a secure site before entering card numbers etc, and we’ve had instances where, after entering the items, the company asked US which charge card we wanted to use this time, and they already had the card numbers from previous purchases.

Being kinda paranoid, I don’t really like them quoting ME my card numbers they have kept on file for the last 18 months. It makes me think, “what could possibly go wrong with that situation?” I’m sure the illegals they hire or contract to make these transactions are perfectly trustworthy, don’t you think? Me Neither! ;o)

I think I’ll stick with Garage, Yard, and Farm sales, and whenever possible, pay with my SNG!  ;o))

Did you hear we had a tornado in Scotts Valley. Not to close but lots of rain in these parts so hopefully the drought is over.  F1, safe if your in a building away from Windows but the cars went airborne and trucks turned over.

Right, it was a joke though.

That lesson, I wasn’t gonna get a book was I.

goldielocks @ 15:29…Easy one to solve. Pay cash when they hand you the book! No book, no cash!

Your probably guessing right about inflation related. Only good thing is it tells you something going on if you didn’t notice it before and if there’s something you can do about it to prevent it from getting worse with diet or supplements. That’s one good thing about Hawaii, the temperature doesn’t change too much. If political stress is low of generally healthy you can live a few yrs longer where there isn’t a big change in weather or stay out of it. Last there along time ago people in Aruba a poor little country had a longer life span than Americans.

Yeah but I bought a book on how not to let people pretending to help scam you and it still hasn’t come in yet and it’s been awhile.

The thing that is unfair is if I had tucked 50 dollars under the mattress for decades and brought it out to spend, I should be able to deduct a long term cap loss.

Me too! Give it a try and you will find it comes back 10 or 100 or 1000 fold. Helping others is what has made my life what it is….a beautiful life of pure Silverngold.

Again … right now … unless Florida goes out on it’s own (or joins another union – which is very possible down the road as the commies continue to turn the screws) … Federal law is Federal … applying to all states … and Florida law applies only to Florida.

So no State taxes … like they have in New York and California … but Federal taxes still apply.

They want to suppress gold and silver … so expect tax breaks on crypto before you will see that on PMs … not that anybody should expect that as crypto is their tax cash cow.

If I only had a dime for every time I heard it’s coming soon in pm’s.

Regardless, there’s no real excuse for me at least to buy pm shares anymore. Just not worth the headache. We’ve had a decent year in the metals, just don’t want to give much more of it back, even if the losses don’t affect the stack.

Another argument that no cap gains will be due.

Well … you could jump up and down if that helps.

Better than losing money due to impatience, greed, and/or jealousy.

Not very Christain.

Cheer up … it’s coming soon … and it will last a long time when it does.

Do something that makes you happy.

Do something nice for someone else.

That works for me.

The commies would never freely allow that IMHO.

It doesn’t read that way because it can’t.

States only have limited power.

Life is just too good for da boyz and girls in the Beltway.

CBDC would be real nightmare! I hope there would be enough opposition to stop it … otherwise I’m sure the gov couldn’t resist using the power it gives them … electronic chains!

“Goldbacks” I haven’t heard much about those. I don’t know what the advantages would be over phyzz?

Cheers

By recognizing it as legal tender it would also make it legal tender under federal law.

That’s right – in fact your Federal taxes would be due no matter what state you live in – unless they successfully separate.

Of course, the commies would be all over that and squash ‘the rebels’ if they can I am sure … so it better involve a lot of people and power.

It’s called civil war.

I would be careful.

In my experience they will continue to ignore them right until year end. (one-day settlement, window-dressing, etc.)

Then, you have profit/deleveraging related selling of tech starting the first day of January.

And lots of tech is being bought on margin, so the draw down on the indexes could be enough to hold PM shares down until around inauguration time in my opinion.

Trump’s honeymoon will over at that point and economic data should get really bad all of a sudden with the commies out of power – but it will be all his fault.

Buying shares is one thing – options are another.

As I understand it, goldbacks are legal tender in certain states.  So I would think if you bought one at say $10 and later purchased something where the floating goldback value for the one bought had risen to $15 there would be no capital gain due as it is legal tender.  If you resided in a state or country where it was not legal tender there would be capital gains tax as it was an investment.
